We dined recently at the Windward Grille after many visits I've the years to Cape Ann. The food, service and ambiance were all terrific and we regretted that we had not dined there sooner. My wife and I decided to share an appetizer of calamari with two sauces and they were excellent. Having eaten baked or broiled seafood for most... More

I've been to the Windward several times for lunch and dinner and have been very satisfied with the quality of the meals. I went for a late lunch on a Monday with family and ordered the lobster salad and two appetizers; fried oysters and bacon-wrapped scallops to share. Another family member had the shepherd's pie (which she was very happy... More

We had a great dinner. Our friends from Florida, love lobster and this was the place to have it. It was a busy Saturday night and the service was wonderful. Will definitely come back again with out of town friends or just us locals!

It doesn't have any ocean views but we don't care as we see the ocean all the time from our house - it's on route 133 between Essex and Gloucester. What it DOES have is great food with good size portions, comfortable seating, plenty of parking and good service. The ambience is good too.

This is one of my family's favorite places and we dine here frequently. The food is consistently well prepared and always delicious. Be aware that portions are very generous. Haddock and salmon dishes are wonderful and the Seafood Audrey spectacular. This is a restaurant where regardless of what you order you can be assured it will be excellent. Don't miss... More

We hadn't been here since it changed ownership a few years ago and we were pleasantly surprised. It is better than ever! Although we went there for the seafood, I chose my favorite - rack of lamb. It was done just right and very delicious. Others in our party chose the fresh haddock, salmon and buffalo chicken served over a... More

I had been to this restaurant years ago under a different owner and name. While visiting Massachusetts this month, my daughter brought me back. I was surprised to see that it had changed and had a new name. I must say, Windward Grille is now one of my favorites. Food was delicious, service was wonderful. It was very crowded but... More

Love this little gem just past all the crazy lines for seafood. Its open year round so you can satisfy your NorthShore seafood fix anytime. They have a very large menu, great specials, friendly staff, nice atmosphere (perfect mix of casual & fine dining) & most importantly really delicious food. Great for a family but definitely make reservations for big... More

The exposed beams of the antique home and barn create a rustic and traditional backdrop for traditional New England fare. Seafood is excellent as is service. This is fine dining if compared with Woodmans.
