Farnhams: great views, limited parking, no plastic, get in line, place your order and enjoy! What you see is what you get. Best bet: get the spicey seafood chowder and the regular seafood chowder to go. Then mix them together for an audacious meal.

It's excellent seafood, but you have to expect a lengthy wait. It's a cash-only business and they aren't the friendliest people. However, the food's awesome and that's all I came for. Great place! Def try it! I will definitely be back again sometime.

My beloved Jennifer & I love sharing the Fisherman's Combo. Their fried clams, scallops, Shrimp & cod are just great! We ask for only Onion Rings. No french fries. We go quite often. Best Fried Clams on the North Shore!

The best thing about this restaurant is the views across the marshes. The breading on the seafood is heavier than we like and the fried onion rings are disappointing. They are not even close to the Clam Shack or Woodman's

Traveling thru Massachusetts, we had to stop at one of the famous fried clam restaurants so we tried Farnums. We were not disappointed. The clams were not greasy and the batter was light. My wife tried the seafood chowder and said it was the best she had eaten. My clam chowder was also good. The counter lady was very personable... More

As a fried clam lover, I usually make an annual pilgrimage to some of the best purveyors of this New England gem. I've read about all the famous clam shacks in the New England states, but it's a tough choice on the "clam highway" connecting Ipswich and Essex. You will see the famous Clam Box, Woodman's, and a few smaller... More

We were spending a long weekend in the area, as we did last year. We tried Farnham's for lunch and were very pleased. Food was better than at Woodman's and staff was pleasant. We will remember this for next year's outing!

Visited this place for lunch while antiquing in Essex. Selected it because it had been recommended by several antique store owners and because it got decent reviews on T.A. Some things to know: - This is a order at the counter and deliver to the table place - It can be very crowded - This is a CASH ONLY place... More

Tasty tasty clams which are their claim to fame. The chowder was a little runny for my taste but still good. It's a quaint spot, nice view of the marsh.
