I got a combo plate with fried clams and scallops. The scallops were like butter! Delicious. The clams were nice and not at all chewy or rubbery. I really like their onion rings. They are a thin tubular style and taste good. The fries are nothing special but OK. The portions were generous. My husband and I could have split... more
An excellent huge clam roll w/ crispy onion rings ( just as I like them), a fish stew ( a must get ) and a lemonaide- $25.00.............well worth the money and VERY satisfying. Farnham's is located on the edge of a swarm marsh and picturesgue. It has a dirt parking lot like all the places in Essex and Ipswich so... more

Fried oysters were outstanding!!! more
Best clams I've had in awhile, in a LONG while. Forget Woodmans! more

I have been eating at Farnham's since 1957, when we spent our family vacations in Cape Ann. They have always had the best fried clams, with large bellies, perfectly coated in cornmeal and fried in lard. The quality has always remained high. Farnham's also has lots of other great foods, like the lobster roll, a large portion of pure lobster... more
