Cannot go wrong!

The Village has an extensive menu. Today, we had steamers which were great, cook to perfection and no sand, I just wish they would steam them with beer. Our salad was very fresh served with a creamy blue cheese dressing. Service was very pleasant and efficient. If you are looking for good food... read more

We have visited Gloucester, MA for Summer vacation almost yearly for over a decade. Each year, we take the short drive to the Village Restaurant in Essex. It is a real old style restaurant that is well worth the trip. The wait staff is professional and treats you as a valued customer. Even though we are from New York, you... More

We recently went to the Village Restaurant. I had not been there is about 15 years and not much has changed. It was as good as I remember. We went with another couple. Two got the scallop, haddock, shrimp baked casserole which was delicious, one got the baked haddock and the other got the fried clams. Very Very good. A... More

Value, taste, friendliness, and ambiance are all here! Delicious fried full belly clams at a discounted luncheon rate and a succulent lobster roll were feasted on heartily while sipping Greenhead IPA and a Pomegranite cucumber mint martini! Highly recommended!

With Seafood as the main interest on the menu, they also offer other fare, such as burgers and steak, and chicken however seafood in my... More

What a fabulous lunch. Delicious fried clam plate and a terrific waiter. He could not have been more attentive. I have been coming here for years and I am never disappointed.

I have been to the Village Restaurant many times and it is always good. I got the Sicilian Seafood stew for an appetizer and it is always excellent. For dinner I got the seafood provence which was excellent. I believe the best two things on the menu are the seafood provence and the seafood buena vista. The buena vista is... More

My wife and I wanted seafood this evening and we decided to go elsewhere but elsewhere was over an hour wait. We called ahead to our favorite restaurant for seafood The Village in Essex and once again we were not disappointed. The place was full and busy and there was a place for 2. The service always attentive and the... More

Oh my gosh, we go there at least once a month and feast on their predictably fabulous seafood. Best Fried Clams in the entire area. My personal favorite is the Oyster Stew, so incredible, and not many places offer it anymore. Lobsters are available, of course! I must say their Steak Tip dinner is to die for as well. The... More

The best fried clams on the North Shore. Comfy, family friendly, booths and servers who have worked there forever. Give it a try. Not a peak experience, but reliably good food.
