Had dinner at Lure tonight. They've just reopened for the shoulder season Wed-Sun through mid-October. It's been 5 yrs since our last visit, which wasn't that great. I must say that we were pleasantly impressed. My wife started with their mixed green salad and I had their roasted fall vegetable salad. Both were excellent and large in size. We both... More

At 6pm each evening, by reservation, you can take a boat from Edgartown Harbor to Lure instead of driving and a minibus will return you to Edgartown after your meal. It is a fun and unusual way to start a great evening at this fine, upscale restaurant, located in a resort. The menu is varied with something for everyone and... More

Very good food, awesome views, and a great bar. Bring your beverage onto the deck. The Salmon, steak, and lobster pot pie is fabulous!

So we had drinks on the veranda a few weeks ago at Lure. Totally cool sitting in big cushy sectionals looking out over the Winnetu lawn to the ocean. But then we noticed that there were lots of families there. We decided to take our two granddaughters with their parents and their aunt. We started at the dock in Edgartown... More

On vacation with friends, we decided to try Lure. It is a bit pricey, it's part of a large hotel complex. We did not have reservations, but they told us we could put together a small bar table for the four of us, and that worked. They have outside seating, but no wait service. Something about Martha's Vineyard, you buy... More

We were staying at the resort so it was the onsite fine dining option. For the high prices ($38 entrees) I would expect a higher caliber of service and better finessed dishes (service wasn't bad, but not at a level you expect for this price). I had the halibut, which was for some reason floating in broth with soggy dumplings... More

This is a lovely restaurant with a lovely staff. The restaurant is situated on top of the Winnetu Resort. We were warmly greeted by the restaurant manager and the waitress. Onto the food: Sushi appetizer - good but too much seaweed salad. Also the sashimi was seasoned with spices - good but not true sashimi. Goat cheese salad - delicious... More

We absolutely loved the Lure! The food was delicious, the location and view were great, and the service was superb. We had our grand father (who is on oxygen) with us, and the stairs were not going to be good for him. The hostess immediately met him at the bottom of the stairs and personally escorted him up the elevator... More

We had been instructed to visit this restaurant by two different sets of relatives who had both gone while visiting in the last month. They suggested we sit in the bar area, which we did and try the lobster salad sandwich which I did....delicious and HUGE. Being from Maine I am critical of anything having to do with eating lobster. It... More
