Good food, beer, and service

We stopped by for lunch and were immediately seated. The decor is nice pub style, as you would expect. Our server was friendly and attentive. The beer was tasty, although a bit more than we expected. ($9-10 per tall beer) For food, I got the fish and chips, which was a good size. The fish was a... read more

Nice old fashioned pub with a good selection of pub classics. The French onion soup and potato skins were stand out dishes. Nice selection of draft beers too. The ambiance could be lifted with some soft background music.

I stopped in while my wife was at the salon across the street. The pub has a lot of character and the bartender was very personable and helpful with the types of beer offered and the menu. We ended up staying a little longer than expected and had a great time. I was hoping to stop in again over the... More

The blue cheese stiletto's are great.Wish they still had the pepperocini on the table 'cause you add that to the stiletto's & it's great ! (we bring our own now). The food is never a let down. This is always our first stop when we get on the island!

We loved this place. We were there for a special occasion & it was wonderful. Our server was INCREDIBLE! So attentive and accommodating. Appetizers & main course were delicious! We will definitely be back!

The goode newes is this place was open at a time of year when few restaurants were open. It was packed and lively, with live music in the restaurant area. We were seated in the bar, where the bartender appeared to be the only staff member. He was busier than a one-armed paper-hanger! There was no moment wasted on friendly... More

We entered the Newes and were cordially greeting and asked if we had a reservation. We did not but were seated at a very nice table The waitress, Kate, was friendly and knowledgeable about food and preparation. We had a simply great meal. In fact, the meal was so good we returned the next night to enjoy the Newes one... More

We went to this pub twice, reason it was close to our hotel, was little less expensive than the rest of the restuarants on the island. Really liked fried chicken and calamaries. Overally food was excellent, service was great too. Great place to go for your evening drinks.

Being only steps from our hotel, we decided to dine here our first night. The food was delicious! The buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes and sausage gravy was heavenly, which one would think would be very heavy but wasn't and the Fisherman's stew was wonderful - loaded with different types of seafood; very flavorful. In fact, we were so pleased... More
