All restaurants in town are expensive but this seemed a bit more reasonable. We had the crake cake sandwich and pulled pork and both were very good. We were able to sit outdoors and it was lovely.

The restaurant accommodated our large group of 13 including kids. Large portions, good service, did not rush us. A nice place to break for lunch right in the middle of downtown.

There are many delicious and fabulous places on Martha's Vineyard. This is not one of them. The place is dark, the service (every single time) is terrible, and the food is nothing special. This is a place you go to because every other place in Edgartown is full. We were a party of six (four adults, and two kids), and... More

A good stop for a more casual meal. This time, however, the waitress forgot us over in the corner. Appetizers were free.

Very relaxing and reasonable place for lunch. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere, good service, beer and food. Claim chowder was ok, but not the best. But fish and chips were outstanding!

We try to only frequent the restaurants on Island that are open all year and not the ones that close and leave the year round folks hung out to dry the rest of the year. The News is not one of them. They are open all year. I think they have been cutting corners because they are now serving food... More

You don't have too many options while on Martha's Vineyard but if you choose Newes you will not be disappointed. I are there for all three meals of the day and enjoyed each one of them. The price is what can be expected for being on the island but not to outrageous. The services is good but they are all... More

Have been to the Newes a couple times over two trips to MV. It is usually one of the best meals we have and is the most reasonably priced for a family. Great place.

We ate here tonight and were terribly disappointed. Given the crowds at the door one would think this was a restaurant worth visiting. Unfortunately it was anything but. Let's start with the good. Ok, so now that we've covered that let's start with the concerns - our daughter has a peanut allergy and despite explicitly asking if a specific entree... More

We were seated in the bar area by the bathroom, which wasn't great, but they parked our stroller for us inside. My husband got a beer and a hamburger, he said it was amazing, my stepmother got a chicken sandwich, she loved it, and I got a veggie burger, it was very good. They have a kid's menu too. We... More
