My brother told me about this little place, while I was working on MV as a Work & Travel student. Now I regret that he didn't mention it earlier. Great breakfast, good coffee and also, really affordable, given the fact that you are on Martha's Vineyard. I would definitely recommend this place !

Cute little place for early morning breakfast. There are no tables or booths, just counter seating which is nice. They serve typical breakfast foods that you would find in any other restaurant. There was a good selection of specials. And you can watch your order being prepared at the grill right in front of you. It's not 5 star dining,... More

If you want a quick, affordable breakfast, this is the spot. We definitely felt like they saw us as outsiders. No one is overly friendly here, but they're not outright rude, either. It was quick, portions are small but reasonable, and the price is right. Next time, we'll order it to go, as seating is limited and very cramped (my... More

Dock Street Cafe only has a few counter seats, but the stream of locals coming in and out to pick up take out orders tells you everything you need to know about how good the food is. If you can get a seat at the counter, you'll be treated to a nostalgic classic rock soundtrack with your eggs and hash... More

I frequent MV often and always have breakfast at Dock Street at least once while I'm there. This last time there were 12 of us on island to play golf. One of the guys has a house so we stay his place. Since it's difficult to get 12 people into the restaurant we do a take out. Call and order... More

We stumbled on this small cafe one morning. We were sorry it was our last day. Really good food great service unbelievable prices. It was almost like being home. We could understand why the locals eat here. We watched as people got their bills and left the money and a tip on the counter in plain sight and no one... More

What a cute little coffee shop. The waitress was so very friendly and the coffee was superb. We visited the shop a few times during the day. Just a lovely place.

After a week of high priced and high brow Edgartown eateries, Dock street provides a reprieve unlike any other in Edgartown. Belly up to the counter and eat a breakfast that could cure the worst hangover on the island. Great service and food make this a must visit for breakfast or lunch. Can't wait to go back!

Easy to miss in upscale Edgartown, this popular sit-at-the-counter on a red swivel stool diner is open from 6 am until 2 pm for breakfast and lunch. Nothing fancy or particularly tidy, but the food is quickly prepared and served. Watching the master at the grill was fascinating. Fast and efficient with every move, he cooked a dozen eggs at... In this town of high end dining the Dock Street Coffee Shop really was different. A totally authentic setting, sit at the bar, staff very friendly, breakfast was great but not fine dining, normal coffee (not designer cappuccino variety). We will return.
