Back on MV this season and this was the unanimous choice of where to dine the first night with Island friends. Terrible service mediocre food- Really ? A new chef wake up - you need new salads and entrees- we left hungry and felt really upset with poor service - thevrestaurant was half empty and we were tucked into the back bar area. REALLY? The roasted chicken entree although tasty was a watery pool of nothing. Alchemey used to anchor main... More

We eat out a lot and in various kinds of places, but this restaurant really stood above many of the rest. Amazingly fresh clams that were succulent and rich were a real standout. The famous zucchini matchsticks lived up to their reputation (don't skip!), and the kale caesar salad that came with the grilled swordfish was a perfect combination of... More

we have had dinner at Alchemy several years ago and liked it a lot. We were there several nights ago and were extremely disappointed. The spring minestrone was nothing but a watery pesto with a few vegetables thrown in. The sword fish was two very thin slices of overdone tasteless something. The chicken was a little better....but nothing great considering... More

Large group; late Friday night atmosphere. Service was first rate, with prompt drinks and meals all expertly served at once. Entrees were limited but covered nice selections of steak, seafood, poultry and pork. Nice presentation and flavorful but the night was remembered for being taken cared for by friendly, attentive and professional staff. Well done!

... In an area with many good restaurants. Had a great dinner in the more casual upstairs room last Friday. Walked in around 8:00, and things became more crowded while we were there. Great service, interesting menu, and good wine list. We enjoyed the swordfish and the lamb ragu over pasta.

I like to skip the fuss and go directly up stairs to the back corner booth and have a martini! The meals are tasty and less expensive than the full dinner tables - and you can people watch theater upstairs room from the bar. If you want the main dinning room for special occasions - then by all means ...... More

We come here every summer and it's always the highlight of our vacation.Never had a bad meal here which is quite an accomplishment as the Chiefs on the vineyard change regularly. So the food on the island can be spotty. The zucchini salad was to die for(wish it was still on the menu ).The halibut is always outstanding and the... More

The food and the service were wonderful. We went there twice and plan to make it a habit. The noise level upstairs was very high, but it was just people having fun. We liked both downstairs and upstairs, but the fireplace, leather sofas and book cases upstairs made it different and casual.
