Great service; great meals.

My visit was during off season,so the place was rather empty. But that added to the charm. Overall this is a great place to eat at MV. The service and entrees were fantastic. Very nice wine menu, reasonably priced.

If you've been waiting for the perfect time to try one of the Vineyard's premiere restaurants, now is the time. Several times last summer we thought of fighting the crowds in Edgartown to dine at L'Etoile. Never did make it back, until last evening. On a quiet Thursday night, we opted for a table in the bar. Kudos to management... More

This is an experience, not just a meal. The twinkle lights, the tent, gardens, the entire evening is to remember. I am a very picky eater so I eat the lobster each time. Very good, beautiful presentation. If you cannot swing the price tag, there is a bar with appetizers and limited seating for martinis and dessert. Really special place.

we picked L'etoile for the atmosphere we could see from the street -- lovely outdoor area with soft lights and gardens. what we didn't know was how delicious the food would be. more adventurous menu than other higher end restaurants we've been to on the Vineyard-- we started with a grilled octopus appetizer that was done perfectly. I had trout... More

There were 4. I had the Long Island duck breast. It was rare but had no flavor. Another had an entrée order of the boneless beef ribs which he felt had been previously cooked and heated up for him. Desserts and service were okay.

Start with its great location but 200' feet from the main intersection. It is housed in a beautiful Victorian mansion hotel on park-like grounds with colorful flowwrs. Diners may eat inside in a stately dining room or outside in a tented, ultraromantic patio. The ambience is par excellent. The menu is diverse and creative and the service friendly and impeccable.... A beautiful restaurant that is finely tuned. Let's start with the location, 200' from the very center of this charming Victorian village. It is housed in a gorgeous Victorian mansion with park-like grounds of green and colorful flowers. Diners may choose from a stately dining room inside or a large tented outside patio, The ambience oozes romance, class and elegance... More

Bar is small but the service is big! The staff was friendly and professional. The dining rooms quaint with high ceilings. Great atmosphere! The food....was an epicurean experience! Being a foodie, they hit the mark! The flavor palette, the presentation on spot! We had the fois gras and they split it for us and it was to die for! One... More

A fairly fancy and grown up experience in Edgartown... we went as recommended by friends and foodies. We made rezzies and sat outside in the tent. The food was good but actually did not knock our socks off. The fish was dry but everything was beautiful and the staff was pleasant.
