Love this restaurant

This summer we had dinner twice in Etoile. On both occasions it was excellent . On the first occasion there were 4 people in our party. We had chicken , lamb and salmon . We did not have appetisers. All 4 of us were very happy with our choices. On the second visit we both had lobster . It was... read more

First the good. They have a way of preparing lobster that they call etuvee, and it is outstanding. It is just a mild sauce but it accompanies the lobster perfectly. The lobster, meanwhile, was as fresh and sweet as I have ever had it in my 71 years on earth. I got it as a surf and turn, which means... More

This meal was exceptional, presented beautifully and with a great waiter, virtually silver service, unusual in US! Great wine list also. Couldn't recommend this place enough and not terribly expensive either.

We enjoyed every bite of our meal here. The service was courteous but not intrusive. We never felt rushed. The food was lovely and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

Every element of the experience was awesome, from the service and atmosphere to the food. We were with a group of 6 but there were parties there of all sizes. We enjoyed a fantastic cold soup and their lobster and lamb dishes. Beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. The desserts weren't quite the same level of quality as the main menu... More

This is one of the best restaurants on Martha's Vineyard. Get a table under the tent outside. The tasting menu is hard to beat but the standout entree is the lamb chops. Four stars? It's really 4 1/2 ...

We were 2 couples having a night out sans 7 kids. Worth the visit. Food was absolutely delicious from appetizer, entree and dessert. Ambience perfect. May be little costly ranging from $75 each but worth the total experience.

Lovely setting, almost-great food, good service. They lost a star because they served the soup in a conical (martini-shaped) bowl, which was obviously designed to create the appearance of a lot of soup while serving only a little. (One can imagine a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode here...) Now I understand why, in Europe, they list the size of the portions... More

Great family gathering recently, there were 8 of us and from pre dinner cocktails to dessert all enjoyed a great experience. Service was attentive and the plate presentations were well composed. Will be back.
