Nice Place for Lunch

This place is all about the view and the fact you call sit outdoors in nice weather. Very nice lunch menu and fair pricing. Food was very good too. We went for dinner also one time but thought it was just okay and pricey for what we received- stick with lunch!

Even though this place only has average food and mediocre service, it is still one of my favorite places to bring guests visiting the Pioneer Valley. The restaurant is perched on the western lip of Mt. Tom and has a panoramic view to the west, making it an incredible place for a long slow meal on the deck at sunset... More

The food we were served was excellent. From the appetizers to the entrées. Much better than I expected for a group dinning.

This was my first time at this restaurant. My 5 friends had all been there before and loved it. I had the Shrimp Marchase. It was delicious. One other person had it and 2 others had the baked stuffed shrimp special and one had the salmon. Everyone was very satisfied. The Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée was the best.

Sat near the bar but at a table- never felt rushed! Not overcrowded but yet busy, the restaurant had low evening lighting and lots of ambience. Great and fresh Caesar salad ( huge!), fresh warm bread, and a nice martini got me started. Had the light yet filling herb crepe ( vegetarian) with goat cheese which was superb! Tried the... More

Delicious food, friendly wait staff, and great ambience. Not too far up Rt. 141. We're very accommodating for someone in our party with food concerns.

Having grown up down the mountain from this place, this restaurant has sure seen it's ups and down. Name changes, owner changes and menu changes. The Tavern on the Hill really seems to have settled on a great combination of atmosphere and menu. If you are fortunate to get there in nicer weather - choose the outdoor seating. The view... More

Eating out is a challenge for me. I follow a cardiac healthy, natural diet and avoid butter, cheese, milk products, and red meat. Our server and the chef were exceptional at accommodating my requests. Even better was the venison special that was on the menu. it is one of the meats that I will eat. It is very lean and... More

I've had many great dinners here, but last time, the restaurant was crowded, and it was a disaster. I think they had a large party inside, plus a full house outside, and the kitchen was beyond overwhelmed. We say with no food for 30-40 minutes. No one was being served. It got so bad that I complained to our waitress... More
