My wife and I decided to have dinner before New Year's Eve, so we thought Tarvern on Hill would be good. We couldn't have been more correct on that assumption. The atmosphere was good and the food was even better. Our hostess sat us in front of a very inviting fireplace(it was quite cold that evening). All in all it... More

Met clients for lunch at Tavern on the Hill. Couldn't have been nicer. The view of the city below, the quaint interior of the restaurant were all lovely. The service was efficient. The food was terrific. The chop-chop salad was fresh, green, and delicious. Just the right amount of dressing mixed in. Just the right amount of food for lunch:... More

Theodore Geisel, aka Dr Seuss, based many of his famous stories around his boyhood home of Springfield MA, including The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, whose quaint community of Whoville was inspired by a real-life tiny town at the foot of a mountain: Easthampton, MA, beneath Mount Tom, one of the 'Seven Sisters' of the Holyoke Range. Halfway up Mount Tom... More

We love this restaurant and it's ambiance. The food is always consistently good. There Filet Mignon is excellent. There fish entrees are very good. To be able to dine out on there veranda (where they also have a bar set up) especially in the summer is very enjoyable. Fall foliage is spectacular as they are situated on a mountain top... More

Now, it has been a few years since we have been here, but since it was open on a Monday (closed on Sundays) we wanted to check it out. At first glance after reviewing the prices on their website, I figured since they have a prime location, with one of the best views in the valley, I feared we would... More

It's a nice place with good service, beautiful atmosphere but food is only ok and pricey. There is plenty of parking and easy to find.

The Tavern on the Hill not only offers some great views of the valley but also is one of the best restaurants in the area. The Tavern offers some great daily specials from chicken to fish dishes. Our party recently feasted on the salmon special, beef tips, and the chicken/shrimp dish. For starters we had the lobster bisque (just like... More

The quality of the food is fantastic! Whether we go for apps and drinks, or stay for dinner... We have always loved the food. This by far is one of my favorite places.

Visiting friends in the area and joined them in the celebration of a milestone anniversary. We were looking forward to this experience knowing the location. Hearing that the chef was focusing on farm to table, we were definitely looking forward to the celebration. What a view!!!! Breathtaking!!!! The interior is traditional New England decor. We had a reservation and were... More
