We were with a large group, and stopped here on a whim because we were craving lobsters and there was no line for dinner on a Saturday night. Now we know why. This is a reminder to myself to check reviews before randomly walking in for dinner. The service was slow. Food came out at a variety of times with... More

We were the only customers when we stopped on a wet, windy late afternoon in mid October for an early meal, which should have sounded the alarm bells, but it was still early and just after the busy Columbus weekend and we still hadn’t had a lobster and were nearing the end of our holiday. We were going to pick... More

We stopped in to the Lobster Shanty since it was one of the few clearly open lobster places in the Eastham area in October. I tried to order a medium sized lobster only to be told they were out, but for a few dollars more I should get the twin lobster. I ordered salad, and then was told they were... More

After a horrific lobster dinner at the Lobster Pot in PTown it was great to find a place that took pride in their food

Shanty is the right word. They advertised twin lobster for $19.95. After ordering I was told they were out of small lobsters but they would pick out a two pounder for me at the same price. While waiting for the meal the couple next to us took one bite of their lobsters and said there was something wrong with them-... More

Monday sept. 24 2012. Stop in because my wife was starving! If you like eating with flies and with paper plates and plastic cups, just average tasting food, but my wife did say the chowder was good, this is the place. Also as posted in a earlier review the lobster tank was still broken. Overall it's just not worth the... More

Well intentioned and friendly but the food is just not that consistent sometimes good, sometimes bad and never great. Head to stuarts, arnolds or the fairway all in eastham instead.

Visited twice this August 2012 with my wife. The first visited consisted of an exceptional culinary experience with the "Lobster Casserole" as with the Linguine Calamari. The second visit was unlike the first. The condiments in the "Lobster Casserole" were excessive, and the Linguine Calamari was sub-par. Our experience, we concluded, may have been attributed to a different cook.

Please save you and your family the headache and stomachache cause by the Lobster Shanty. Horrible service, managers are incopitent and ownership is untrust worthy. Add to the overpriced food and heartburn and you have a horrible dining experience. Please try to avoid at all cost!

My wife and I were driving back to Hyannis after chasing lightouses on Cape Cod and pulled into the Lobster Shanty in Eastham for dinner. Glad we did. Sat at an outside table and enjoyed the breeze while we enjoyed our meal. My wife had baked lobster and I had the seafood medley. Mine was good - hers was excellent.... More
