Convenient and average

Right across from the main entrance of The Seashore National Park museum. Convenient but a little pricey. Clean, average lobster roll ( if there is such a thing as a bad one).

Located directly across Route 6 from the Salt Pond Visitors Center in Eastham on the Cape Cod National Seashore, the Lobster Shanty has all the charm of a beachside seafood shack, with full lobster dinners at an affordable price. Throw in a couple of ice cold Shipyard ales on a hot sunny afternoon, and we were in Cape heaven.

Quick stop for a lobster roll. Nothing fancy but good service and good value for money. 15 dollars for a generous portion of fresh lobster.

On a short jaunt through the area, we saw the Lobster Shanty and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu choices but already decided on a cold lobster roll and a cold Blue Moon on this hot summer afternoon. Fast and friendly service ! Our lobster rolls were jammed full of sweet, tender claw... More

And it was a good one. Service was confused and not really up to scratch for the price, but the lobster, corn and potato were all really good

This place was pretty gross. I don't usually write bad reviews but at this point I've tried a bunch of places on our vacation and this is by far the worst. It's so expensive for such low quality. The only reason I didn't give it one star was the $15 fish and chips special was not terrible, although super greasy.... More

Stopped after heading back from Provincetown late in the day. What struck me about the shanty was the 70s atmosphere. Nothing like walking in to the sounds of Helen Reddy. Food was just average. Chowder was OK. While I didn't have the lobster roll I doubt their sign out front "best lobster roll on the cape". Feel sorry for the... More

We had the best lobster dinner!! Not sure what the do to make the lobster taste so amazing. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant has outside seating. The proprietor is such a friendly welcoming man. He made our dinner even more enjoyable. We liked it so much we went back a few nights later. It's right off route... More

Traveled out to Provincetown on Thursday morning and hit The Lobster Shanty and just about everyone in our party left feeling disappointed. The clam chowder was somewhat lacking in clams. The lobster bisque was okay but not especially hot. The lobster rolls did not have an over-abundance of lobster and what was there was overcooked and rubbery. The lobster casserole... More

We had been driving for two hours to visit my Aunt in Eastham, we didn't think the trip would have been almost two hundred miles ! So we were hungry and stopped at the first place we saw , which was the Lobster Shanty. Well the service was really slow, not their problem the management only had two people on... More
