Upon the recommendation of our B&B owners from Captain Chipman Inn (see our review for that as well!) just up the road, we tried the Bee - Hive for their burgers. Expecting good food, we were instantly charmed by so much more. The bartender Annie immediately greeted us as if we were lifelong friends (which we felt like by the... More

We stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. The fish & chips couldn't have been better. Lightly battered and well cooked. Try it! Live music on Friday and Saturday nights by a superb guitarist/singer. Only two beers on tap one a Cape blonde which was pleasant. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting local folk and the staff.... First time visitors, felt very welcome. Bartender, Scott, was incredibly social with local information. Burgers, steamed mussels, French Dip sandwich were all excellent. Margaritas and a Bloody Mary were well worth the trip. Can't wait to return next week with a full complement of friends staying with us. The bar is stocked with our preferred alcohol, Barcardi Limon, Capt. Morgan... More

This place has been around for a while and the atmosphere is old tavern Cape Cod. Wooden booths, small dimly-lit bar, sort of comfortable. The service is "summer season high school" which you'll find at most places in this price range, which is modest. The servers are inexperienced and they know they will not do this past the end of... Although we saw an extensive menu at our B&B, the menu at the restaurant was much smaller. Our waiter's response to our question on the difference was that the restaurant just recently reopened and was slowly building back to normal. Being sort of old tavern like rather than fancy, the atmosphere pleased me. The food was just a notch above... More

While the food is average, being able to have a late lunch or early dinner is convenient. Cute decor and pub atmosphere. Friendly staff. Recommend the thick chowder.

We live local so it's always a good option for us. Owner almost always on premises, good selection of good for all tastes. Some pros: 1) almost never a wait, tv at the cosy bar 2) really good buffalo chicken 3) the Mudcake dessert is possibly the best dessert on the cape, if you like warm gooey brownies with chocolate,... Stopped in for dinner around 7pm on a Wed night. We had attended a meeting on the Cape and decided to try a new place for dinner. The decor is interesting; as may be expected, the theme was bees. From the bee door knocker to actual hives suspended from branches... The place is cozy, with a small bar and many... More

This restaurant has a very interesting pub/tavern like decor. It has a tiny bar that sits maybe 6 people. The food is just mediocre. Even the burgers are bland. I cannot recommend this restaurant as ther are many more in Sandwich, MA that provide better food.
