Plenty of buzzing at the Bee Hive in Winter

After a very dingy winter it was fun to find a bright spot at the Bee Hive in East Sandwich MA. It is a small tavern/restaurant with booths, candlelight, dark wood. Perfect for a snowy evening. Food was delicious and reasonable. Will go again soon

If you enjoy a nice tavern atmosphere then stop at the Beehive on Friday or Saturday night and enjoy a great prime rib with popovers or a delicious seafood entre. Tom Kelley will be playing your favorite songs especially if you like the Beatles. Always a good time. Small intimate bar if you are in the mood.

We stopped to dine and should have left before ordering. The menu was quite sparse with few side vegetable dishes. The Mel's that we'd if order were poorly presented and tasteless. We won't return.

Four of us stopped by the Bee Hive for a quick lunch. Two of us had the stuffed chicken breast special ($7.99) with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables; the chicken was perfectly cooked, the portion was generous, and the herb stuffing was tasty. One friend had another special...the oyster roll which he said he enjoyed. Our other companion had lobster... More

We have been going here for years and always enjoyed it, but this time not so much. Chalk it up to off season and and a holiday but in any case the food as decidedly mediocre. Service as very good. My stuffed cod was tasteless. My clam chowder tasted like it had more corn starch than cream. My wife's turkey... More

My sister and I stopped here a couple of weeks ago for lunch and were shocked by our overall experience. My sandwich was tasteless and my fries over cooked. Her clam chowder was watery but not terrible. What we found most disturbing was an English gentleman screaming at one of the staff, for as far as we could figure, an error... More

Visited for Thanksgiving dinner, our first time eating at a restaurant for Thanksgiving. $25 for the three course Thanksgiving meal, which for what you could order was a pretty decent price. I went with the prime rib and was very disappointed in how it came out. Rubbery and not cooked to my liking. My brother who ordered the same thing... More

The Sunday breakfast was great. My husband had the corned beef hash and loved it, definitely made fresh. We needed to wait awhile for our food but the atmosphere was so pleasant it was only a mild inconvenience. The prices were reasonable.

We were pleasantly surprised by this little treasure of a restaurant. On our way home from the Cape we stopped at this restaurant for lunch. We were warmly greeted by Annie, who was also our waitress. This tavern has an interesting history and has lots of character. The rolls were homemade with a combination of herbs. All of our lunches... More

Cozy room to right. Loud and bare to the left. Warm welcome. Inexperienced wait staff. Baked cod was reasonable, but stuffed shrimp was not. Stuffing bland, and did not compliment shrimp. Rolls cakey and bland. Even at modest price point, not worth it. Hoping for better.
