Not sure where those folks ate but nothing at the "Shoe" is fried at all. They serve rice as a side dish because they don't even have a fryer in the building. I'm obviously biased as I love this place and have been coming here for over 5 years but I wanted to be clear that there is no fried... More

small and cozy local pub with good food. Football games on TV on Sunday. Sunday special when we were there was burger and a beer for $6.95.

We were told to try this place by the owner, David, of the Old Landing Motel. Great recommendation.!! You won't find better New England lobster than here for a fraction of the price of other restaurants in the immediate area. Tie on the bib and prepare yourself. The lobster was cooked to perfection, steaming hot and sweet. Accompanied with corn... More

Had a great waiter, Kevin, but despite his terrific service, this is a mediocre restaurant with a very limited menu and not great food. The best thing any of us had was the clam chowder, which was actually good, but the dinners -- including lobster -- were not even in the running for good. Would not go back again --... More

A bit small with a limited menu, but charming and the prices are reasonable. Well worth coming here! Our favorite is the sirloin tips, either as the dinner with the corn on the cob and rice or over a caesar salad. There are always the lobster specials. This is another Cape Cod tradition. We have been coming here since the... More

Only 12 items on menu and must pay cash. Been a fan of the "Shoe" for years and take my house guests when they are looking for casual dining and lobster/steamers. Lobster roll is delicious and highly recommended. If you are hungry, go for the twin lobsters.

Stopped by few days ago for lunch and bloody Mary's. Drinks were good. Had the clam chowdah and it was very good. Good amount of clams not watered down, good flavor. Good quahogs. Very reasonably priced. Going back for dinner and will review that.

Good basic eats. Much of the menu is fried. Be warned that they do not have air-conditioning. Yikes!

Small little local place with bar and restaurant. NO AC and it was HOT when it was in the 90s. Limited menu, but best food we had. We went back twice. I tried clam chowder at EVERY restaurant and Wooden Shoe was the best! The quahogs were smoky flavored and delicious. My husband had steamers once and the lobster back.... More
