Monster lobster roll!

Small spot, bare bones ambience, but no nonsense lobster roll. After all, that's what it's all about - the food. Busy and noisy. Lobster roll was heaping, served with small side of slaw and bag of chips. Minimal choice of wines. Will Be back.

Very limited menu, however food was very fresh and the service was great. We had crab cakes, they were good but came out with sauce drizzled on top (I'd rather just straight up with tarter!) Sides were delicious (fresh corn and coleslaw). Our server was friendly and prompt.

We ate at the Wooden Shoe to kick off our Cape Cod vacation. We had a party of 9 with 5 kids so the ability to make a reservation was great. The restaurant is small and felt cramped. They had two large parties that night including us and could not have fit another big group. When going to the restroom... More

I hesitated to review the Shoe since it is one of my wife's and my favorite spots and we don't want it spoiled but it's too good to not rate. Some of the best seafood on Cape and the portions are huge. Definitely a local spot so don't expect fine interior decorating but the food is excellent and it's a... More

This seasonal throwback bar was once a Kennedy's hangout, the a favorite of an Olympic figure skater, and the venue of choice of the subject of the convicted drug dealer who was the subject of the movie "Blow." Today it's more low-key, catering to the local bar crowd as well as some families who ignore the shabby-chic surroundings to sample... More

Overall, it was hard to find AWESOME food in Cape Cod, a lot of the places are pretty average. Don't get me wrong my lobster was delicious, but I had to point out to my husband his lobster roll was served on moldy bread. We pointed it out later to our waiter, just to make sure others wouldn't be served... More

Went for the first time. I think we never noticed it before because it's kind of talk the way and almost like a neighborhood style setting. My dinner was great girlfriends lobster was done to perfection. Would give it five stars but for the acoustics, a little noisy. But I guess that's the deal when the place is that busy.... More

I usually stay in the Dennisport area when on vacation in Cape Cod and was recommended 'The Wooden Shoe' by a good friend. How right he was! I ordered the two lobsters plus side salad meal for around $27 - what a bargain. The restaurant is cosy, has a great atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly & helpful... would... More

Cash only restaurant. Portions are large but the dishes were a bit simple. Good spot if you are just looking for a bite to eat but not exactly a date/family night place.
