I have gone to Swan River many times over the years. It was a very unassuming seafood joint. I would usually get the chowder and have some lobsters. Nothing extravagant for a Cape seafood place. My wife and I went there yesterday on our last night staying on the Cape and had already planned to go there for a casual... More

I dined as Swan River Seafood about 15 years ago and had one of the worst dinners ever in Cape Cod. I refused to go back until this year, when we decided to try again. After waiting for almost an hour, we sat down to dinner. I ordered clam strips and was brought scallops. I told the waitress that my... More

First off, they were getting ready for the end of the season. The place was empty. The bartender substituted the worst beer in the place rather than give us what we asked for. They were out of most beers. The entre came with no side of vegetables. We have eaten here for 37 years and this is the worst it... More

We always have the best time here. The food is great, we eat a variety of dishes and have never gone wrong. The staff are wonderful, very helpful, and always smiling. Great place to eat or even to just go in have a drink or two with a snack.

September 3, a Tuesday, place empty at 7:30. I couldn't find a seat at Scargo or Lost Dog so I tried Swannie for the first time since the bad meal 2 years ago. I was the only person at the dozen seat bar. The bartender was amiable and tried to be helpful. He is swimming uphill. I have to admit... More

The fish tacos may come in different forms due to the chefs' choice but all are yummy and full of spice. The chowder was delicious and medium creamy just the way I like it.

Recently ate dinner at Swan River as a party of 4 adults and 2 children who do not really eat. We were early for the Friday Cape Cod dinner rush so were immediately seated in a booth overlooking the marsh/river. The menu is not overwhelming, seafood likely as fresh as can be considering there's a seafood market on the premises... More

The restaurant has been updated somewhat, the waitstaff was good and the dinner was delicious. We had the clam chowder and it was excellent, not too thick with just the right amount of seasoning, clams and potato. One member of our party ordered the lamb lollipops appetizer. This could have been a meal because the lollipops were actually four lamb... More

Been going to Swan River for over 25 years & had the worst meal ever this year. Arrived a little before five thirty. Seated immediately at a great window table. My parents ordered broiled scallops, I ordered a seafood medley off the early bird menu. I also had the chowder which had always been one of my favorite parts. There... More

Let's face it, lobster is lobster and we love lobster, and, the lobster was good. HOWEVER, the owner had such a non-caring attitude, it was pathetic. Thank God we can afford to travel and eat out, however, when you order a clambake worth about $50.00 for 2, a couple of glasses of wine and then the dish comes with one... More
