Description

We discovered this charming cafe with honey bee decor and imaginative breakfast selections like chocolate pomegranate pancakes and cheese and pepperoni omelets while walking from Joy Inn in search of the post office. When we spotted the cafe, we stopped for coffee. The owner, the customers, but especially the food made us forgo our inn-provided breakfast our final morning to sample the food. As expected my chocolate blueberry pancake with additional fresh blueberries and strawberries proved delicious. My husband went for a bacon cheese omelet, which he said was the best he'd had in a while. Before we left we got advice from the owner and one table of customers about the best time to leave the Cape considering the holiday traffic and excessive heat. Right now the cafe has a mostly local following but we feel many other visitors to Dennis Port would enjoy The Honey Bee Cafe.
