I've been a major fan of Grumpy's for many years, never had a bad meal and always give it rave reviews. It has a huge breakfast and lunch selection that is sure to have something that will please everyone at your table and not leave your wallet empty. So you can imagine my surprise today when we stopped in for... More

If you are looking for a good breakfast while at the Cape, Grumpy's is the place to go. Grumpy's has a nice assortment of breakfast choices on their menu. Their prices are good and the staff will try to get you in and out. Be prepared to wait for a table as the place is a popular local spot. We... More

Staff and food are great, home made hash is fantastic. The fact that it is filled every morning with hungry people is more of a testament than I can give.

This place is always hopping at breakfast time. During the summer, plan on a wait, or getting there by 7:30 AM. Breakfasts are substantial, varied, and delicious. Lunches are good old fashioned diner fare. Staff is friendly and works very hard. Overall, a great place for breakfast.

We come to the Cape frequently, so not "locals" (after 30+ years) but we know our way around. Grumpy's is super for breakfast, esp. in the "off-season" when things are a bit quieter. Prompt and friendly service; if there's a wait it's short; we like sitting at the counter instead of waiting briefly for a table. Coffee is better than... More

Grumpy's is one of those hometown iconic eateries that all the locals know and the tourists find out about quickly. I have eaten there twice, both times had a wait to get seated, not long, about 15 minutes each, but the deceptively small looking place can seat about 50 people. The menu is very diverse with breakfast delights like stuffed... More

Visited on Labor Day weekend. If you like good service, outstanding variety and a bottomless cup of coffee stop by. I was impressed how quickly we were seated and served. The waitress was very attentive recognizing all our cues. The menu is large and has something for everyone. This is no Dunkin Donuts breakfast, they know how to get things... More

We stumbled upon Grumpy's and are glad we did. I was looking for home-made corn beef hash and I was not disappointed. I think our waitress had been working there about 40 years and she was wonderful. You need to get there early to beat the crowd!
