The 4 of us had a great meal. We eat early. Our table was ready when we arrived at 5:30 on a very snowy Nite. I venisoned out that evening having venison meatballs in a cheese fondue- excellent seasonings. My sister in law had the duck confit salad. No one thought she,d eat all of the large portion. It was... More

Husband and I celebrated our anniversary/New Year's Eve in this beautifully maintained home-like restaurant setting. Open rafters, huge old fireplace, wood floors, and lovely local art combined with exceptional service and food to create a very special evening for us. The prix fix menu for the evening provided ample choices for each course. Ours were lobster bisque, wild mushroom strudel,... More

This was our second visit to the Red Pheasant we had eaten here 10 years ago with our parents. The property is beautiful. The food was Spectacular! I'm very glad we came back. If you want to wow someone this is the place. We had the duck and it was delicious. We also had a chocolate desert and an almond... More

My first time visiting this establishment was for their New Years Celebration. I made a 5pm reservation and when I arrived at 4:40pm I was asked to come back in about 15 minutes because they were not ready and they were still blowing up balloons. Keep in mind it was only 30 degrees outside so I had to retreat to... More

I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Dennisport, Massachuetts during the latter part of October. I called my friend Patty Pepe and we decided to meet and go out for dinner. As I was not familiar with the area I told Patty she should decide on the restaurant. Patty knows the area well and decided on "The... More

I went to the Red Pheasant restaurant with my wife, brother and his wife. We were pretty happy that a restaurant of this caliber was available off season. The building is clean but ancient. We liked the creaking and crooked floors and the old wall trim. From an ambiance perspective, the facility seems to transport you back in time 150... More

I was completely satisfied with our dinner at the Red Pheasant. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. The service was great as well. We were on vacation from NY and the lovely hostess took time to give us all of the great insider info on cant-miss hiking trails. Her best recommendation was a trail... More

The Red Pheasant is very proud that their menu is largely much the same as it has been for decades. Resisting some of the trendier food treatments, they still offer many classics which continue to be outstanding. You don't see liver pate much on menus these days, but their version of country terrine is fantastic. The case is similar with... More

We visited the Red Pheasant for dinner which we do a couple of times a year for special occasions. We made a 7 pm reservation through their online system and requested a table near one of the two fireplaces. We got there at 7 and had a nice table in front of the fireplace. The hostess did a great job... More

This is definitely the locals favorite upscale restaurant and it does indeed live up to its reputation. The inn is charming; exactly what you expect from Rt 6A Cape Cod, romantic and cozy. And the food is always delicious. It is not quite as inventive as most haute cuisine haunts; some new dishes could be added, but it is reliable,... More
