What a find. Tucked away off 6a in Dennis. The coffee and food is great. Not really a restaurant, but more than a coffee shop. You can even have a small cup of good coffee instead of a gallon! Free wifi, and stay as long as you want.. Long queues at the weekend, mostly locals. Psst.... Don't tell anybody

Lots of sandwich options with very fresh meat and bread. Fast stop if you are going to the theater next door. Fun place to grab a quick bite to eat.

At the recommendation of locals, we tried The Mercantile for sandwiches and coffee. You won't go wrong with the sandwiches here. The Ploughman was my favorite (if you like chicken salad). The baked goods looked tasty too. We will be back when we are in Dennis.

Stopped at The Mercantile for a late lunch. Food was really delicious and very fresh. Liked the upstairs seating area a lot. Was too full to try the desserts, but they looked really good. When you go, keep in mind there's parking behind the building too.

Great selections of sandwiches and very fresh! Friendly staff and a lot of locals especially during the morning hours for coffee and breakfast. A funky place to meet with friends.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the molasses cookies and the chocolate-chip, too. Love the merc roast beef sandwich as well. Coffee not great, but everything else delicious!

We've been going to the Dennis Mercantile for over a decade and haven't been disappointed yet. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. If you go on a summer weekend, be prepared to wait in line. Better yet, phone in your order. Enjoy!

The Mercantile hit just the right spot for our quick, late lunch after an opera broadcast at the Cape Theater nearby. Each of us had a version of their chicken salad sandwich, loaded with a mayonnaisy chicken salad, with apple, cheese and more....all WONDERFUL (though the bread wasn't quite up to the same elevated standard). The young women who served... More

Great coffee/ iced tea/ breakfast sandwiches. We love our early ( well, not THAT early, it's vacation..) morning ride in the Jeep to the Merc to get our day started. Everyone is always super friendly, plenty of people working to move things along!

Homemade muffins (best on the Cape!) and cookies! Large table to sit and chat with others, breakfast sandwiches offered, and wonderful sandwiches to take with you for the beach later!
