Ate at Bernie's this week after not being there for over a year (we live out of town). It hasn't changed at all and seemed to be better than I remembered. The baked meat loaf was a diner type special and did not have a drop of grease in the plate. I could not finish it all, but it became... More

My husband and I just enjoyed the prime rib lunch special at Bernie's.The prime rib was tender and more than enough. My husband enjoyed the mashed potatoes with gravy with his meal and I enjoyed the au gratin potatoes . We both brought home half our meal because we could not finish them. The atmosphere is relaxed and it was... More

Bernie's has been around for years and if you like eating in a 1950's style railroad car, this is the place for you. They have a full restaurant for larger parties, too. Their fare covers the usual expectations, service is generally pretty good and you get enough so you aren't hungry by the time you get up to leave. It's... More

Bernie's is a Great place. It's one part old time diner meets old time rail car that is just outside Westover Air Force Base. One of a kind. The portions are large and the price isn't. Let's talk prime rib. The "small" cut is about 3" thick. 24 oz. The cuts only get more shocking as you go up, but... More

Great prime rib and steaks. A little on the expensive side, but has largest salad bar ever seen - and also best.

My wife treated me to Bernie's Dining Depot for my Birthday. She made reservations for a Friday night and were seated right away. I already knew what I was going to order since I've heard talk of their Prime Rib. We had some wine while perusing the menu and ordered the Gorgonzola Bread as an appetizer. The Bread order was... Came here on a rainy day...and it was packed. We had the Fisherman's Platter, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Parmesan Haddock, and Chicken Parm with spaghetti. All meals were good and hot. Leftovers were taken home as there was plenty enough. Service was a little slow but we overlooked that. Glad we came.

Bernies used to be a great place to go, decent prices, large portions, good food, but that is changing. My last two trips there I have to say were pretty terrible. The service was strange, really, couldn't figure out what was going on. The waitress told us outright not to order a salad, beause it was "bagged salad" There were... More

Good food, good value. They feature prime rib in 1-2-and 3+ pound cuts. It's not only big, it's wonderful. It's not quiet, secluded, or romantic, it's a busy place, but the food and value are VERY good. It will be a good experience for you. Obviously, they have dozens of other things on the menu, I just happen to be... More

We had the BEST belly clams here...made the mistake of ordering the appetizer off the clams and the smallest prime rib to split. Prime rib was huge...you don't need to order any app with it....we ended taking bone half of the prime rib. Was NOT crazy about the share charge on the smallest prime rib...esp since we also ordered an... More
