OK, this restaurant is not beautiful and has no bar scene, but the food is good. Some of it is very good, the people are friendly, and the prices are low. After visiting some of the other restaurants in town that weren't geared for kids, we tried the Captains Table and had a good, healthy meal without a long wait... More

Their lobster roll was delicious and they have THE BEST coleslaw I have ever had. I tried to get back during my weeks stay, but just didn't have the time to get there. It was in my top 2 picks for restaurants while on the Cape. I will definitely go back whenever I have the opportunity to revisit the Cape.... More

Let's face it, Cape Cod is over-priced and the town of Chatham is one of the most expensive on the Cape, so it was no wonder that the prices for lunch here were a bit much. Friendly server, but kind of slow service after initial contact. It was a perfect summer day on the Cape and the town and restaurant... More

Nothing in particular stands out but neither was anything off-putting. It wasn't dining but rather a meal in the middle of gadding about. Satisfactory.

Food was pretty expensive for not a lot of food which also was not up to par. They also did a horrible job refilling our drinks.

A friend recommended their French toast, the best he'd ever had. I think he must have had the special, which I ended up not having. It's a nice place for breakfast after beach yoga; French toast was good, bacon was crisp, poached eggs were perfect; the patio was pleasant.

Chowder was great. But the fish tacos hmmmmm... fried fish coke slaw and MARINERA sauce. Just odd. Odd flavors didnt really go together. Other food that came out looked good though.

One might easily walk right by Captain's Table without noticing it. It is modestly situated on Main Street Chatham with a few outdoor tables on a deck, plus an indoors that is right out of the '50's. Laid back yes, but the food is a wow. We mostly zeroed in on the blackened blue fish which came out spicy and... More

Once you stepped in, you feel as if you have been transported back to the 80's or even 70's with their old tables and chairs. The food was promptly served , a reasonable priced place to have a quick lunch should be your expectation level. The lobster melt sandwich was not up to my expectation , so don't order that.

Stopped here after a long bike ride to relax and grab a bite. Sat out on the little umbrellaed patio. The service was good and fast; the menu was nothing special - usual burgers, salads, fried seafood; and the food was okay. Not bad, not great, just average.
