Consistently good

Had lunch there recently on a Thursday afternoon in late September. Food and service were very good. We both had lucheon specials and were pleased with them The Oyster is so consistently good that we will sometimes drive down from our off Cape home just for lunch on the off season.

We were very disappointed. Before ordering we asked if we could have separate bills (2). Our waiter said "sure". When it came to pay he brought only one (1) bill. He said it was policy to not give separate bills. We reminded him that he had said that we could have separate bills. He di not apologize he just left... More

I had visited the Impudent Oyster about ten years ago. I had remembered how delicious the food was so I wanted to return on my recent visit to Cape Cod. I couldn't believe how delicious the lobster salad turned out. The retaurant was full for lunch but they seated us quickly and the waitress was very attentive. I highly recommend... More

The Impudent Oyster has served Chatham visitors and residents for well over 30 years. There is always something new on the menu along with many time tested New England favorites. For lunch, the Nantucket scallop sandwich combines lightly fried scallops with a bit of cheese, bacon pieces and tartar sauce in a nicely toasted bun. An accompanying side of creamy... More

Comfortable, attractive restaurant with reasonable prices at lunch for a wide variety of seafood sandwiches, salads, and entrees. The non fish-eater can find hamburgers (good ones apparently) as well as chicken. Our party settled on the Sammy (salmon on an everything bagel) with lots of greens, herbed cream cheese, and capers -- which was topnotch. The Gypsy lunch suited another... More

We decided to lunch at 1300 and were able to get in immediately (september). It was the BEST lobster roll I have had so far. My husband chose the English Batter fried cod and he thought it was excellent and mild. My roll had tons of lobster and enought celery and onion to just add flavor...what a treat. Their home... My wife and I finally "scored" a reservation at the Impudent Oyster at a reasonable time (not 5PM or after 9:30) but it was after Labor Day. Having been here a number ot times in the past, we were pleased that the food was still as good as we remembered it to be. While it is a bit pricey, we... More

Impudent Oyster used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Chatham, then I felt like it fell off a bit. After staying away for a few years I went there for lunch the other day and it was delicious.

Could be the best dinner I've ever had. Definitely try the halibut. And obviously the oysters! They pour a great cocktail. Quaint, charming. Loved it.

We have dined at this restaurant many times over the years. However they seem to push the 5pm and 9pm reservation slots even when they have availability during the more popular times 7-8pm. When I had lunch there and asked to book a reservation for dinner 10 days later they said "we have 5pm & 9pm available." I saw their... More
