We stopped in for lunch after a trip to Wellfleet. The restaurant was crowded but we were able to get a table. Having dined her many times in the past, we were excited to be back. We shared an appetizer, fried calamari over field greens with fried jalapeño pepper slices. This dish was outstanding! I ordered a lobster roll and... More

We ate here years ago and were delighted to find the food as good as we remembered! Lovely, elegant setting with a fresh, interesting menu. Not cheap, but worth it.

Excellently prepared and tasted very good. Got there early enough that we didn't have to wait for a table but the place filled up fast shortly thereafter. Service was very good and we were... More

This is the kind of restaurant we look for when we travel , excellent food and generous portions at very reasonable prices . Understand that the Impudent Oyster is not a fancy professionally decorated space . This small restaurant seems to be a local favorite situated around the corner just off the Chatham main street . We had noticed the... More

We've been to the Impudent Oyster about a dozen times over the past 20 years. The main draw has been the simply amazing seafood dishes. Otherwise, there have not been compelling reasons to dine here. It's small and cramped; the ambience is nothing special; the service is efficient, but cold; and it's reasonably expensive. My wife and I were less... More

Everyone we met praised this restaurant so much that we just had to try it. We went for a special meal on our anniversary, and special it was! We did not have a reservation (which I would NOT recommend and will not do again), so we had to wait a half hour, but it was well worth it. They more... More
