We used to summer here and went often to the Impudent Oyster which we considered the best restaurant in town. Visiting this weekend, we again came for dinner. It was delicious. Lots of wonderful choices, and we each loved our dinners. Good wait staff too. Pleasant surroundings. Best to get a reservation. Its busy even in the off season. On... More

I am an excellent cook so I know how hard it is to get everything cooked perfectly. (Seafood is the hardest) Everything was wonderful.Started with devil on horseback (fresh scallops wrapped in bacon with garlic, fresh thyme and butter) it was pan seared on cooktop.Absolutly Heaven. My wife got oysters with crab meat.Fantastic flavor.Main course was a special.Shrimp, scallops, calamari over seafood... Very tasty salad topped with lobster salad, good choice. Friend enjoyed chicken and shrimp over pasta dish. Tables close. Bar full. Reservations recommended. Mid week called and got a 6:30 pm time. Not rushed, restaurant full. Table next to us raved about their meal too. Dessert, ice cream two generous scoops and mocha cheesecake dark and delicious.

The name of this restaurant is indicative of it's nature. There is a sign when you come in to turn off your phone. I am ok with that. It is a privately run establishment, if you don't like the rules, you can go elsewhere. I was expecting a quiet, romantic setting. You couldn't hear your cell phone ring if it... More

First, the best waitress we've seen in years - Linda Hall. Ask for her tables. Secondly, the very best halibut lahina ever! Crusty outside; however, moist and cooked just right inside. Very good/fresh salads: mixed greens and Tilly's Salad. Other outstanding dishes were: oyster Rockefeller, Pad Thai and Tuna Tanaka - all excellently prepared. Deserts were also excellent: Creme brulee... More

We went at the Impudent Oyster on recommendation from the keepers of the Inn we're staying at. And it was delicious! We both had a japanese inspired sandwich with shrimps, avocado and noodles. One of the best sandwiches we ever had. The staff was efficient and friendly. Perfect for lunch or dinner in Chatham!

We have been vacationing in Chatham every summer for the past 15 years and we always make a reservation in advance to have a meal at the Impudent Oyster. It is a terrific restaurant which has new items and great service. It wouldn't be a summer vacation without a visit here. Plan in advance and book your dinner reservation, The... More

I liked the friendly staff and ambiance but it was hard to get a reservation so we had a late seating. We were still welcomed warmly and food was fresh and well prepared.

Halibut entry with coconut jasmine rice, mango salsa...perfectly cooked and balanced. Sea scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer was scrumptious. You'll need a reservation so call early.
