Fun Cape Cod Restaurant

The Chatham Squire Restaurant is a great "locals" type of restaurant that is a fun place for a meal. We tried several appetizers along with the chowder and really enjoyed everything. It is not fancy but is very good for local flavor.

Had a horrible experience there today. After pushing my 16 year old son hard and abruptly to get by him, a rude customer then threatened my son and when my husband asked that the man apologize, the bouncers threw my husband out without finding out what had happened or without any regard for the situation. They never asked what the... More

We found this restaurant walking down the main road of Chatham. It has a large bar area with license plates lining every surface. It also had a large beer selection. I had the oysters which were large and surprisingly good, although a little expensive for what you got. My husband had the fish and chips. The pieces of fish were... More

The sound in the full restaurant was overwhelming and made for a poor dining experience. There is a bar side and a restaurant side and it was even too noisy in the restaurant side! The food was just middle of the road fare for the Cape.

The Squire is the perfect stop for a cup of chowder and a cold beer anytime of year. It remains a mandatory stop each time I get to the Cape.

I tried the Veggie burger because I am seeking healthful options. Unfortunately, it was dry and not very flavorful. I substituted the vegetable medley for fries. The vegetables were tasty. Others in our party had regular hamburgers. They were good, but not great. The staff, however, was very friendly and attentive.

Never had a bad meal there. Lots of choices, convenient for us to walk to in town, sometimes a long wait, sometimes not because so popular.

My first ever meal in Chatham, and it was quite the experience. I walked in to the dine-in area, and was seated immediately. It looked moderately busy. The waiter took my order promptly and within 10 minutes, I was eating my food. I ordered a Cheeseburger, French Fries and Coca-Cola from the restaurant. Great food. Great hospitality. Definitely made my... More

Chatham "off season" is a delight, not least because you can get into almost any restaurant without booking! Chatham Squire is always busy but we were found a comfortable table almost immediately. It's traditionally decorated - probably just as it was in 1968 when it opened. Quintessential old Cape Cod. Warm bread rolls came quickly, with our glasses of chilled... More

Chatham Squire Inn The “Squire” has two bars and a funky old restaurant that hasn’t been touched since it opened 47 years ago, which is a good thing. It’s a great atmosphere in the main building with the bar in the front. You sit looking out the windows onto main street as the tourist move by. The professional staff of... More
