This place is a good hangout with a pub like atmosphere. Locals love to meet and eat there. The food is very ordinary. A good place to get a hamburger, fish and chips, etc. It could use a little updating with the decor.

Food is pub food. Atmosphere is college. Music/noise is loud. That said, the place is fun if the above does not bother you. Go for a drink and chit-chat.

I want to go back and eat this meal again. It was fabulous. I had Cioppino and a Cape Cod blond draft. It was less than $25. It was off-season and the Squire was full of locals. Older couples with grandkids, single people, etc.. Very much a local "joint" and the food was amazing. It's right on the main street.... More

On a Friday night, after the long drive to Chatham, my husband and I drove downtown to look for a casual dinner to kick off the weekend. The chatham squire killed it! We drove past and said, yea, that looks like a place the locals go, so we headed in. The bartender was all over getting us a drink, which... More

My husband and I went to the Squire based on a recommendation from the owner of the bed and breakfast we were staying at. We were there on Saturday March 15th so it was off season and the place was still busy! We sat at a table in the bar area and only had a few drinks. The service was... More

This place is crowded and noisy in the summer, but off season it's fine. Enjoyed a nice dinner. The pate was good, but a bit dry. The chiopino was very good. I was surprised it included swordfish. A bit annoying they charged $2.00 to put it on some linguine and that they charge for bread and butter.

They have live music every Sunday night, decent place. They have gift shop and dining area but bar would be a better choice. There are license plates on walls.

Good food, great atmosphere, right in the center of town. Not gourmet, but good, basic seafood. Try the cioppino and/or the fried oysters -- my personal favorites!

Good food, well prepared and served hot! Don't usually order red meat and was pleasantly surprised! Order from anything on the menu...soups are great too! My partner ordered the special with soup
