Characters contribute to the charm

One often finds that a restaurant or pub attracts regulars because of the people who serve them whether behind the bar or at the table. Longshore is lucky to have a great staff and a bartendress, Colleen, who is IMHO a combination of Lauren Bacall (the voice), Carol Burnett (the sense of humor) and... read more

We went here our last night in Chatham. The food was good the restaurant was nicely decorated loved the tables. Was a special night and one of the owners told me a very special story and was so special to me, that was a treasure!

The Longshore has become a family favorite where we feel welcome and nurtured.from the relaxing and creatively inspired Decor to the warmth of the owner. The stand out for us is the female bartender who always gives you a laugh and a beautiful smile, you forget your troubles and you can't help but feel good. Just like the charm of... More

Do not sit anywhere near the bar or you'll never be able to hear what the people at your table are saying. The bartender must feel she has to broadcast at the top of her lungs, even to someone sitting right in front of her. And when she tells a story (too often) everyone in the place can hear every... Sunday night the place is half empty and we still had to wait. The short little woman behind the bar was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think....and you can get better food at Stop and Shop...we probably will give this a miss next time

We ate dinner here on September 19, 2014. The atmosphere is casual, and the place was crowded. Our server was super friendly and lots of fun. The food was okay. I had the panko cod, and it was tasteless. The side vegetables were obviously frozen. The baked potato was okay, but they put the foil wrapped butter pats in the... More

Food is terrible, service is unprofessional, wait was long both to get seated at a table (even though the place was 3/4 empty) and to get the food. There is a reason this place was empty on a night when all the other restaurants in Chatham were hopping. DO NOT EAT HERE. Our stomachs are still upset the next day.... More

When we walked into this Cape Cod restaurant, we were surprised by how lovely the décor was. There was a beautiful bar and the tables had glass tops with beach sand and stones visible underneath the glass. The menu is extensive. We started with the spinach and beet salad, the coconut shrimp, pretzel bites, and the onion rings. For entrees,... More

Not only was the food good but, compared to many of the other restaurants in the area, well priced and worth the money.
