I have been purchasing seafood from Chatham Pier when I'm back on Cape ever since Captain Elmer's in Orleans closed down. While it's pricer than I'd want (and to be honest marketed towards tourists like many/most other establishments on the Cape) it's still very high-quality, incredibly fresh seafood (albeit at a premium).

The return of the fishing boats with seals swimming around looking for fish. A fantastic experience in this nice port.

As a regular to the New England states I´ve had my share of clam chowder, many times sadly just a mediocre experience. Not so at Chatham Fish Market! This was by far the best I ever had the pleasure to taste. Very good lobster sandwich, too. Watching the harbour seals while waiting for your order was a bonus and made... More

We had one of the best fish sandwiches of any place we have eaten. The fish was flaky and had a sweetness to it. The freshest fish sandwich. Mmmmm. It was fried perfectly with a light breading. The roll was fresh too. It came with all the fixings, French fries and cole slaw. It was fun sitting outside watching the... More

We had the best fried clam strips that we have ever had at the Fish Market. The lobster bisque was also excellent. It was also fun to watch the seals cluster around returning fishing boats to eat whatever the fishermen fed to the seals. A real experience!

After spending time at the pier watching fishing boats unload their fresh catch and observing the seals playing in the immediate area, it was time for a bite to eat and to sample some fresh seafood. Our orders consisted of a lobster roll and scallop roll plates. Both were cooked to perfection and were definitely delicious. While there is no... More

While visiting Cape Cod, I decided to visit to get a fresh cooked to order lobster and chowder. After receiving my order I asked about butter for the lobster. I was told that they sell butter by the stick and they'll melt it for free. This should be mentioned at the time of ordering - my lobster was Luke warm... More

If you're ever in Chatham and want to see something special, go to the fish pier on Barcliff Avenue. The fishing boats unload their catches into huge bins to be packed away on ice and off to market. Ordinarily you can't get too close to this activity, except here in Chatham. For years there has been a big, wide observation... More

Stopped here to watch the Seals and sample the takeout after walking around Chatham. Thought the food was very fresh, tasty and plentiful. Could have done with some more outdoor seating - day we were there all the seats were taken so we had on the wall around the back and between $4 we ended up spending around $70 but... More

I'm talking FRESH! Not 3 days old, not two days old but right off the boats (you can see the boats being unloaded)... what kind of fish do you like... it's there! Nothing fancy and they don't need to be fancy... very friendly and helpful staff, truly fine cooks and the finest ingredients... what more do you need! The chowder...... More
