Traveling Cape Cod on an early spring weekend we didn't find too many places reopened yet after the winter. So it was rather by coincidence that we found this place on our way to Chatham. The waiting list was long even for a Saturday night and they were very busy. It took almost 60 min for us to get a... More

I ended up choosing Del Mar, honestly, because the Impudent Oyster was unaccommodating at best. Christina at del mar was friendly and helpful from the minute I called. Also, they are smart enough to leave some tables for walk ins so that it doesn't have that superexclusive douchey feel to it. You can walk in, grab a drink and wait... More

We stay in Chatham several times a year during off-season, and have our regular places we really look forward to eating at. This time we decided to try Del Mar at the suggestion of a friend. It was so good we went back the next night too - forgoing our usual favorite restaurant, which was not an easy decision. We... More

My wife and I own a home in Chatham which we use intermittently and rent in the summer. Del Mar has become our 'go to' place when we visit. It' s so popular that we often have to wait, but the staff treat us well- hang behind the bar waiting for a drink or appetizer; our conclusion is "get there... More

Refreshingly novel dishes -- including a variety of tapas ("small plates"). Beautifully prepared & presented. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, so much so that we go back as often as we can. Relatively expensive, but the dishes are worth it. Also a very nice wine list and some great mixed drinks.

Reservation necessary for weekends. Looked bigger on outside. Looks like they have a large dining area for warmer weather. Good drinks and excellent food. Great service. Very busy.

del mar reminds you of your favorite neighborhood tavern where everyone knows your name. The bartenders and wait staff are the best, , and the food is varied and excellent. Can't be beat on the Chatham restaurant scene. Great value in my opinion.

we had a very delicious meal on a recent Saturday night. I had the bolognese my companion had a filet mignon and we both had to stop ourselves short of licking the plate.

Had a wonderful dinner while in town staying at Chatham Bars Inn. Food was tasty and well prepared. Service was excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and not pretentious but contemporary. It was a little loud, but was still able to hear my husband across the table. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The food was a bit fancy for my tastes but was well presented. Don't order the drinks; they are far overpriced for their quality.
