I've been in hospitality for more years than I care to divulge...and I'm mostly skeptical of online reviews, however having visited Del Mar on three occasions and had great experiences on all I share my first review. I love the buzz and the layout (wish the bar was bigger)...the food was exceptional on all visits...twice with friends and once with... More

The summer salad with grilled peaches and Burrata is fabulous. Good cod, salmon and striped bass also. Excellent waitress and nice wine options.

Avoid the salmon carpaccio...it's absolutely awful (apparently the chef has a heavy hand with the salt over what is already smoke salam). The rib eye is delightful especially paired with Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon. I would highly recommend that the restaurant sync their website wine list prices with the prices on the actual menu (there are some significant discrepancies). The... More

Stumbled upon this place while spending a weekend in Chatham. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to go back.

Let me start off with a word to the wise, make a reservation early. If you want a Saturday night, you better make it many days in advance (during summer season, not as bad off season). WE had a 730 reservation that we made 3 days earlier (couldn't get any earlier) and when we got there, there was an hour... More

Del Mar came highly rated by Trip Advisor and didn't disappoint. Despite other reviews and a note about being vegetarian in our reservation, we didn't experience the same VIP service/chef at the table dining that others had, but we weren't disappointed. We showed up 30 minutes early and were seated before we could barely sip our drinks from the bar.... More

We went on the basis of the reviews we read on Trip Advisor and we were disappointed. The food was average and the portions were small by US standards. My husband had flounder and scallop bake and he got one small scallop

This was the highlight meal of our trip…..the menu choices were great. I prefer tapas or a few appetizers to a whole meal and , of course, raw oysters! I was not disappointed. My husband had the cod and as good as my appetizers were, the cod was incredible. I would order that next time. The service was faultless and... More

While it is difficult to find consistently good food on Cape Cod, Del Mar NEVER disappoints! The food is great. Be sure to check out the Blackboard Specials! Wood Roasted Cod is a classic and always delicious. Salads are also seasonal and creative. Even the flatbread pizza is delicious - especially the prosciutto fig! Recommend reservations when possible.

We are on the Cape several times a year. Always wondered about this restaurant and this year we did make a reservation. Very happy we did. Very busy even for "off" season but got seated right away. Our waiter, Sam, was wonderful and had some great suggestions which we were happy we took. Even in the off season reservations are... More
