Classic Mexican with a vibe

I´ve been here a couple of times now and I´m never disappointed. It´s perhaps not up there with the best, but it has a great vibe. Well worth a visit if you´re in the neighborhood.

Met a friend for lunch. She had been there before, I had not. We were seated promptly and our server was on top of everything, every step of the way. She immediately brought us piping hot corn chips with salsa. The salsa was too salty, so we didn’t like it, but that was our only complaint. My friend had the... More

I've been going to the Border for decades... since the original in Harvard Sq. I have to say this last experience was remarkably mediocre: House margarita that was not balanced in flavor and weak in tequila. Fish tacos with cold mango salsa spread on warm fish. Etc. There is better Mexican food out there and there are better margaritas too.... More

Not sure what has changed, but management have become unhelpful and rude. Management of waitibg times has become terrible and hostess had an enormous attitude.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday here. The guacamole was very good. We all ordered different things. Large portions. Be careful if you don't like spicy food. This restaurant is very loud. Wooden seats on wooden floors and wooden tables. None of the décor absorbs sound. So, you will find yourself shouting at folks while having a conversation. A very family... More

My brother and wife invited us out for dinner at the Boarder Cafe (they love the Tex-Mex & Cajon mix). I wasn't that impressed with the food, plus we waited over an hour to get seated.

Loving Mexican food, we went to this eatery two nights in a row. Although it was a chain, the Chicken Bandera and the Lime Chipotle glaze that came with it was to die for and very delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy and got it with a side of seasonal vegetables that were cooked perfectly( al dente). The service... More

This restaurant is a favorite. They have a wide variety of affordable menu options, fun atmosphere, and it's an all-around good choice.

First of all let me tell you how awesome their sangrias are :) Food is good too and they have a decent vegetarian menu. Very noisy, so don't go for a date night. Perfect with my family or friends.

When I drive past I always remember how good their seafood enchiladas taste. Lots of tasty food with a nice sauce. The salsa served with the chips before the meal improves with a little hot sauce.
