Actually a Bakery and Gift Shop - Fabulous Cookies!

We were just there this weekend for Brewster for the Holidays event- best Ginger cookies ever - we bought all they had left...and wished they had more, the other baked items are great too but as an aficionado of Ginger snaps/ Ginger Molasses cookies etc. I can attest that these are amazing. Heather, Claire and the rest of the lovely crew are amazing. The muffins are so unique. My mom isn't a "fruit" person unless it's one of heather's cranberry or cherry muffins. The pumpkin cream cheese are a decadent treat. Heather made the cupcakes for my rehearsal dinner and they were so good, our family made a point of going to... More

The thing I love about Hopkins House bakery is that it is really home baking. I think that is why some people don't like it. It isn't a chain for sure and that's why my family loves it. I never buy pies at a store. The crust and fillings are horrible, but I bought an apple pie at Hopkins House... More

I've tried this place twice and both times the muffins have been very dry. Its almost never open and the last time I came in, there were only 3 items left and without my saying anything, the woman at the counter said, "the early bird gets the muffin." So, I walked right out. Overall, its a cute place, but not... More

This is a lovely little bakery in scenic Brewster MA. It is located in an old colonial house on historic 6A. You enter through a pretty flower garden into the tiny bake shop. There you will find a beautiful assortment of freshly baked muffins, scones, cupcakes, cookies and assorted sweets that are kept cold. The goods are baked by Heather,... More

After coming up here for many years I decided to stop in Hopkins Bakery. First parking is limited and a hassle. I went and noticed a line to the door. I was waiting patiently hoping to see what the fuss was all about. By the time I got to my turn, there was only a limited muffin supply and scones.... More

...Because these are by far the most delicious muffins we have ever had. Not to mention the other sweet treats, fresh loaves of bread, pies, and quiches are phenomenal. The Hopkins House is a Brewster treasure. We wait on line every day it's open, and will continue to do so for as long as keep coming to the Cape. The... More

As a previous reviewer mentioned, there can be a line when the Hopkins House first opens. While that is no doubt due in part to the greatness of their baked goods, it's also due in part to the fact that only about 5 or 6 people can fit inside at a time. Based on the reviews here I showed up... More
