Stopped in for a cup of chowder at the recommendation of a local merchant. Chowder was good with a pronounced lemon flavor; Fresh clams and a nice creamy base without any starchiness. Th grilled cheese with tomato sandwich was yummy. Husband had tuna on toasted rye bread which was just OK. Staff was super friendly and attentive. This is a... More

Recommended by our host at The Old Manse Inn. This is one of the best restaurants on the Cape. Food preparation and combination was unique and extremely enjoyable. Make a reservation ahead of time if traveling in season. It books fast.

Party of 6 (we were able to make a reservation) for dinner. We ordered drinks, our only complaint was the wine glasses, and martini glasses (5 oz) were filled to the top, but extremely small. We had oysters, clams, triple play, beef a roni soup and chowder were all great apps. Dinners we had seafood alfredo, roasted chicken, Tavern special,... More

Seems very local. Good food, lots of character in bar. Great bar attached that has live music - super fun!

The atmosphere at the Brewster Inn and Chowder House was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy evening but staff promptly showed us to the bar while we waited for a table. Our meals were simple yet satisfying which was exactly what we were after following a long day of travel. My wife's vegetarian meal was particularly tasty so I... More

Have been going to the Brewster Inn & Chowder House for years and it is one of the few Cape Cod restaurants that has not gone crazy with their pricing. The food is very good with a substantial variety. The service is good as well. The Inn's history is quite interesting and the decor isn't fancy but rather sticks to... More

We arrived and were seated immediately around 6pm on Sunday. The menu has some good choices and there is a daily menu too. I had the seafood medley, and my wife the lazy lobster. We had choice of salad or soup, and a vegetable. I had the salad (very small) and my wife the summer squash which came with several... More

After a day of sightseeing and geocaching on Cape Cod my GF and I had spotted The Woodshed Bar and decided to stop and have a cold one before dinner. It was apparent walking into the Woodshed that this was a local bar frequented by locals stopping to have drink or two before going home for dinner. We were welcome... More

We checked into our rental house close to dinner time and asked the agent for a recommendation. This place was very good. We were able to get in promptly, the food (very fresh seafood) and service were great and the atmosphere friendly especially with children. It was reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

Ordered days special fried oysters and clams. They were so undercooked and just so wet. The batter had all fallen off. When waitress returned with fried haddock she tells me that I should of asked for well done! Really?? As if I never ate fried clams or oysters! Stay away
