Off the beaten track in Brewster, Cape Cod this charming, tiny restaurant features French and Italian cuisine, prepared to order by the French Chef owner. His wife provides table service and serves as Bartender so be prepared to wait. Service thus is slow. Food is outstanding but menu limited. Entrees $26.95 to $29.95 Only drawback - Drinks are grossly overpriced... More

Peddlers Restaurant is always a place we look forward to when we are in Cape Cod. Alan (Chef/Owner) and Beth,(Chef's helper and owner) are wonderful people, and they serve amazing French food at their small (you have to look for it)) Bistro. The salad is the best ever. Tonight we had the berry tart for dessert, and it could not have... More

We just returned from the Cape and have to remark about a wonderful restaurant in Brewster. On the outside a Cape Cod cottage, but on the inside a counry French bistro. It is run by a husband and wife team. The husband is the chief, and the wife does everything from hostess to bartender to server. The food is as... More

Small, family run French Bistro in a wisteria covered cottage. Very different, but charming. Menu is on two blackboards and somewhat limited. The husband is a trained chef. Wife is the hostess/waitress. Family helps during the summer. Entrees are served in skillets right from the stove. Our meals were excellent. Short, but affordable wine list. No reservations. AMEX or cash,... More

As I write this review I worry that a lot more people will then "discover" this gem, but impossible not to share such a find. It is traditionally French, the decor is "shabby chic/French" with very comfortable sitting, they don't take reservations and open at 5:30 pm. Note: they only take Amex. Owners wife (Beth) and husband (Alain) do live... More

First impression when you arrive, you wait for Jed Clampett to greet you in the car lot. Much to our surprise...the place is owner/chef owned. The decor, cleanliness and dinner was exceptionable. One draw back; the Peddler only accepts AmX and cash. Worth it...try it.

This cozy restaurant is run by a French chef and his American wife. The food is truly delicious and the service friendly. I can't wait for them to reopen in the spring! I highly recommend this gem.

Peddler's Bistro is truly a special gem and not to be missed if you are a foodie. It is a mom and pop place. She does the serving and he does the cooking. The food is fresh, cooked to order, arrives pipping hot and is extraordinary. I had the duckling L'orange and my husband had the Coquille St. Jacques-both were... More

This restaurant is small and charming and is reminiscent of a French countryside auberge. It is owned and run by a husband (who is an experienced chef from Provence) and his wife and, in the summer, their delightful son and daughter often come up from NYC to help out. The food is always fresh and delicious and cooked to order,... More
