We were so looking forward to our meal and hadn't been to this restaurant in a couple decades. I ordered a salmon burger and it was good, but the relish on it was WAY too acidic. There was nothing flavorful or pleasant about it, and unfortunately the relish was the dominant flavor. The cute fries that came with it were... More

We have been going to Brewster Fish House for many years. We are big fans of the food, ambiance and yes, even the wait. It is all part of the experience! This year, we found ourselves dressed and ready for dinner early due to a rainy afternoon. We arrived at 5:15 and secured one of the last tables of four... More

Lots of interesting choices for appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Nice atmosphere, but a bit crowded (but is was a weekend on the Cape). Bartender was very accommodating. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Arrive early, because they do not take reservations, and the waiting time grew while we were there.

We were told the wait was 1 hour. It turned out to be 1 3/4 hour wait. When we complained about other people getting seated before us the maître d' said they insisted, would not take no for an answer which I think means we were supposed to pay him to be moved up in the line. This is unacceptable... More

All four in our party enjoyed every morsel of food and every sip of wine and cordials at this top-rated restaurant on the quieter bay side of Cape Cod. Two of us ordered the halibut on special, and it was superb. Others ordered crab-encrusted cod, and it was equally excellent. The wine list is tantalizing--we enjoyed the white burgundy and... More

All three people on our party cleaned their plates for all three courses. My Steak Tartare Deviled Egg appetizer was unique and wonderful. My entree of the Pan Roasted Halibut with grilled Bok Choy and Romaine in a Miso Vinaigrette was amazing. I finished with the coconut & carrot sorbet. My fellow diners split the calamari app and on to... More

My wife and I ate here Saturday night during the long weekend. We had to wait for a table and the host did a great job in estimating the wait times for many people. Unlike the opinion of another reviewer, I thought the host did an awesome job handling the long wait and estimating times for various sized parties. He... More

My family and I arrived on Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. The restaurant was quite busy- When I told the server we had a party of four he actually suggested Chillingsworth! He was rude- As a local home owner here in Brewster the Fish House will fall off of my place of recommendations for tourists going forward.

The wait is a touch crazy, and the place has a tiny bar. But the food was some of the best in the cape. Its not tourist food, and they take it very seriously. We ended up eating at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly and helpful with the menu and with Cape Cod. Its pricey but its... More

With summer staff back in school, service was slow and indifferent. Food was alright, but nothing special.
