Summer on the Cape

We walked in, greeted by a very nice host. Took our name and we happily went to the bar. I know Summer is tough, but bartender really should breath and smile. He took care of the man standing behind me, before asking what we would like, completely looking past me. We almost did not stay, but I was... read more

They don't take reservations but you can get a drink at the bar and wait outside on seats for your table. Staff very friendly. We were umming and ahhhing about a 45 min wait but a local leaned over and advised us that it was 'worth the wait'. It was. Beautifully presented delicious food. I would advise getting there before... More

It's difficult to get in, no reservations accepted, and waits can be much more than an hour on weekends but if timed correctly (luckily) you can eat in the small bar area. The menu isn't large but everything is excellent. The razor clam appetizer is prepared with the lightest batter we've eaten highlighting the sweet, tender clams. Diverse wine list... More

We stayed in Brewster for only a few days and went to the Fish House on our first night there. As they don't take reservations (which is good for ad hoc customers such as us of course), we had a lovely aperitif at the bar while waiting to be seated. The wait was well worth it! Some of the best... More

there are no advertisements for this restaurant. they dont take reservations. "strict walk in only policy". we waited 96 minutes outside on lawn chairs drinking some of their signature specialty cocktails to ease the burden of such a long wait time. when we finally were seated inside we knew we were in good hands. all dishes were exquisitely prepared. the... Phil is the most disrespectful Bartender I've ever had. If you want to be treated poorly by a bartender go here & ask for PHIL. Last weekend my three girlfriends and I, all hardworking professionals living in New York City, came for a nice dinner to Brewster Fish House. Everyone knows New Yorkers like to eat & spend money. The... More

We were able to secure 2 seats at he bar. We were entertained by watching the very able bartender mix drinks. He was definitely a mixologist. The food was excellent. I had the fish chowder and the tuna. It was done to perfection. My husband had lobster bisque and the duck dish. Also perfectly prepared. Small, friendly, great food. A... More

So fresh, so imaginative. We have eaten here many times over the years and we highly recommend it. The lobster dish pictured was one of the best dishes I have ever been presented.

We particularly enjoyed the appetizer of a crab cake on top of a very light savory tart. The lobster bisque is well known and probably the best we've ever had. During our three-day visit to the Cape, we had dinner here twice. Definitely worth the wait.
