Every summer, we visit the Cape & plan a special date night at the Brewster Fish House. The food is absolutely sublime every time - fresh, creative, palate pleasing, beautifully presented. It's my favorite restaurant on the Cape. It is a bit pricey, but worth it - I believe you get what you pay for. Also, an excellent wine list... more

Some restaurants should just hang signs "Please don't bring your kids." It is one thing not to have a child's menu; it is another to totally ignore the needs of kids. On what planet does it make sense to hand formal glassware to a 5 year old. When we asked if they had something more manageable for a child, the... more

We have enjoyed many good meals at the Brewster Fish House over the past several years, and our meal on June 16 was no exception. We were celebrating our younger son's 20th birthday, and everything was fabulous, from the calamari, oysters, and fish chowder for appetizers, to the fresh fish entrees - monkfish, swordfish, clams, cod, and scallops. Even my... more

We heard good things about this fish shack so we called and were told that they do not take reservations. The hostess also assured us that if we were there before 9pm, we would be seated. After walking in the dark from our hotel, we entered this dingy and cramped restaurant only to be told by the same hostess that... more

My girlfriend and I ate here this past weekend. It was awful. The restaurant is cramped and smelled like urine. We waited over an hour to be seated. I ordered the lobster special, which at first glance looked delicious. However, the lobster was rough and tasted very bland. The wait staff and the owner's daughter (the hostess) were downright rude... more

We were there during lunch. The lunch menu didn't offer much difference from other fried seafood places. food was average. My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi over Linguini and I had Baked Haddock. Although fish was fresh, it was a little tasteless. They didn't offer kid's menu and does not even have a single high chair. more

we were looking forward to our dinner at the highly rated brewster fish house - all the reviews on this site and others have been so favorable. it was also highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel - ocean edge. we started with the fried calamari and a salad. the calamari was fresh, had a light batter and was... more

One of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time, despite going to more expensive restaurants from Providence to Boston to Providencetown. The name is of historical in nature only, as the building was once merely a "fish house". Lovely sauces prepared with each entree and appetizer, a full use of fresh herbs and imagination,... more

We ate here as it was a special occasion and had read a good review. The review really didn't do it justice. It is on the small side so is intimate and the staff are just fantastic. The food was amazing and although we came in quite late they didn't in any way try to hurry us up or speed... more

My husband and I stopped here for Friday dinner in April (before the peak season) based on recommendations from the Chowhound website. Boy are we glad we did! We arrived at 8:30pm, driving along a winding road where everything we passed was closed and we became increasingly worried that the restaurant would be shut. We were relieved to see the... more
