I may go back to Brewster Fish House again, but not overly impressed. The appetizers were OK. Contrary to the other reviews, we didn't think their chowder and bisque were that special. Salad was great. The main course selection was not too impressive. Our food tasted good, and the presentation was good too. But either because our waitress was not... more

Stopped in for lunch in November. We've eaten at Brewster Fish House several times in the past, and always enjoyed the food. While the service and room haven't changed, the quality of the food during this visit was extremely disappointing. The lobster bisque, which in the past had been my favorite on the Cape, tasted like cream heated and poured... more

We stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised at this little gem of a restaurant. Great service, friendly staff and excellent selection of local fresh fish. A surprising wine list for such a small venue. Make sure to stop in and if you have to wait, do, its worth it. more

pouring rain on a recent Saturday drive and looking for lunch - glad we checked out this place - nice menu (although no fried clams!), friendly, good service, good fish / chips and really good chowda' - tables a bit close but would return next time in the area more

Ok, so when you drive down Main Street in Brewster and see a place that is basically a house converted into a restaurant, why would you think "let's bring the kids" or "wow I bet it's roomy"???? I have two kids, aged 8 and 10, and it wouldn't occur to me to drag them into a place like this...of course,... more

Called in for lunch as we were passing. The restaurant space is really fairly cramped with tables very close to each other. My portabello mushroom sandwich was very nice but my spouse's crab cakes were decidedly bland with no real crabby flavor coming through. Total bill inlcuding two cups of soup and two soft drinks a not inconsiderable $43. Whilst... more

Because one dinner is not going to cut it. We did not expect large portions, hence we all ordered soup as a starter, but the portion sizes were not just below normal, they were embarrassing Seating is tight. Put it this way...if you were to pick up some food and miss your mouth by a few inches it would most... more

I recently ate lunch at the Brewster Fish House and enjoyed the perfectly prepared seafood. Some reviewers have noted that getting in for dinner is difficult. We went at lunch and found that it was not crowded -- something to consider if you don't want to eat dinner at 9:00 PM. Re the comments on whether this restaurant is suited... more

I should state ahead of time that we did not eat here. We TRIED to eat here in August as they were recommended in the Fodor's Guide for Cape Cod and were located nearby our resort (Ocean Edge). Unfortunately we were greeted at the door with seeming disdain and told that they did not have highchairs. We were traveling with... more

I recently stayed at the Old Manse Inn in Brewster... (awesome B&B, by the way). However, I was unlucky enough to believe the reviews I read about the Brewster Fish House, so my wife and I decided to check it out. The restaurant was flatly underwhelming. I can't believe there was actually a long wait to be seated for such... more
