The wait is well worth it.. We have never been disappointed with a meal from this lovely restaurant. We vacation in the Cape every year and live Central Jersey and go to some some top resturants in NJ and we go to The Brewster Fish House at least twice when we are there. The service is great and the staff... more

It’s just hype. The food was really mediocre, we don’t mind the wait if it’s something worth waiting for, but we were very disappointed in this restaurant. Dishes Appetizer: tuna tartar---lacked in season/taste, poorly made. I've had much of raw tuna in my days--the free bread and butter topped this dish! Soup: lobster bisque---good but not memorable Entree: sautéed cod... more

Memorial Day we wandered down Route 6A looking for a place for dinner - no real destination, and happened upon the Brewster Fish House. It was around 6 PM. At first, we were told that there would be a 25-30 minute wait. We had not even ordered a drink at the bar when we were seated. Apparently, this is a... more

Although we live on the Cape in a nearby town during the Summer, we had never been able to get into Brewster Fish House. Based on articles written about it, and reports by other diners, we had high hopes. I would have to say this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had anywhere. Part of it... more

I'm a local, so I'm torn. Should I tell you this is a fabulous restaurant? I can't (or won't try to) get in during the summer. Having said that, the wait is pure theater. New Yorkers get all huffy at "2 hour wait". The locals know it won't be that long. Lunch is wonderful - more traditional than at dinner.... more

That they don't accept reservations is nothing short of arrogance, however, The Brewster Fish House is a very special place. Tiny, pretty, upscale and delicious. Cape Cod is all grown up, and offering good plates in many places, but The Brewster Fish House is unusual for it's exclusivity and intimacy. Go REAL early, like 5:30 pm, or put your name... more

I just returned from my 3rd yearly trip to Brewster, MA on Cape Cod. I have tried the previous two years to get in to the Brewster Fish House but couldn't stand the wait of upwards of 2 hours. This time, my wife and my two kids, ages 5 & 3, waited for 45 minutes starting at 5:45 PM on... more

The Brewster Fish House is a wonderful night out! The lobster bisque is light, but flavorful, with a lot of lobster pieces throughout. Other dishes not to miss are the garlic lobster with risotto, Kobe steak with garlic blue cheese potatoes and the halibut with beets and English peas. The restaurant does not accept reservations and a line begins to... more

After reading all of the other wonderful reviews, my mother and I decided to go to Brewster Fish House and brave the lines for what was supposed to be large portions of delicious seafood. Oh contrare! Instead it turned out to be very small portions of very over-priced seafood. The meals, grilled kobe and grilled lobser risotto were tastey, but... more
