Sunsets, Scenery (both people & the ocean) and Slightly Subpar food....

I am giving this place a good...but TA does not offer that option. A 3.5 not quite very good but better than average. I have come to this restaurant a few times over the past several years. The scenery is lovely-plucked right out of a CC post card. The sunsets are amazing as are the array of... read more

We were astounded that with so many good places in the area, the Chart Room somehow has a buzz. Yes, a pretty setting. Go and sit on the deck, enjoy the sunset, and then move on. Or better yet, go to a better restaurant that has an equally nice view. The haddack chowder was very good, but from then on... More

Living on the Cape and working alot I sometimes forget about the gems around me. A normal Summer I "try" to get to the ChartRoom at least once. But, it has been 2 years until last Monday after work. A great view, great drinks, and the best baked stuffed lobster in the world. Go there, treat yourself ! You'll be... More

We dined here recently on three different occasions, twice for dinner and once for lunch. Trust me, if we could have dined other places, we would have as the first time was enough! The setting is fabulous overlooking the harbor and their outside waiting/cocktail area is well thought out and managed. Drinks are plentiful and reasonably priced for the location.... More

This is a shabby restaurant with little chic and no air conditioning. You would think they could at least install some fans on the porch. The night we dined you could have sliced the humidity with a knife. It turned otherwise decent salads limp in 10 minutes. Overall, only the bread stood out. Clearly this somewhat quaint old barge is... More

I have gone to The Chart Room 6 times over the past 20 years. This visit was just for drinks, outside, overlooking the harbor. It was crowded but we were able to snag a seat. The drinks were well made, kids were happy with their Goldfish snack cups. We walked around looking at the boats. While we were sitting a... More

The address for this location is incorrect. It is actually located in Cataumet, MA. I went here every summer for 20 years as a child, and was thrilled to get back today! It is very different- they have added an outdoor sitting area with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables- but still exactly the same. If you like seafood, this is... More

Lively atmosphere at this restaurant in authentic, gorgeous Cape Cod location. We arrived at 7pm to grab some sundowners outside as we watched the sun set in the packed, friendly and casual outdoor area. At around 8pm we went in for dinner. Restaurant was packed, lively with varied menu. All of our dishes were wholesome, home cooking style and generous.... More

Ah yes the Chart Room, one of the most popular spots on the Upper Cape. I confess to spending way too much time here for several reasons. Great drinks, big drinks, generous drinks..you get it..situated in an old sea barge on Red Brook Harbor. Great views of the water, boats, funny people with lobsters and boats embroidered on their pants/shorts.... More

We arrived by boat and walked in without a reservation for lunch. We'd been eating for days like there was no tomorrow so I ordered only a lobster salad. It was huge and superb, couple of glasses of white wine in the sunshine and life was complete! Superb in every way
