If you like HOT Sichuan, this is your place

This is a tiny restaurant, but the flavor and heat in the food is huge. Judging from most of the clientele in the restaurant, this is authentic Sichuan food. Love it.

This isn't a generic Chinese restaurant; it's food from a particular region, with most dishes using hot oil or peppers. Some of the dishes you might expect aren't available. The tastes are sour as well as or instead of sweet. It's not just one-note 'hot' -- there's a lot of flavor there besides the hotness. My favorites are the fish... More

This place never disappoints. Our favorite place to go for chinese, especially if you like very spicy food. The restaurant is always busy on Friday and Saturday nights so be prepared to wait. It's worth it though..

In the 1980s I used to eat frequently at a restaurant in Cambridge that was owned by someone who grew up in China's Sichuan province. I have been searching ever since for Sichuan food that approaches those standards. Luckily, the search is over! I was introduced to Sichuan Gourmet by a friend who provided a large variety of dishes via... More

We do both take out and also eat in at Sichuan Gourmet. The food is excellent, really flavorful, interesting, and authentic. Our favorite local restaurant. Whenever we need a touch of tasty, but home, it is Sichuan Gourmet we reach to. Highly recommend! It is so good, it is always crowded, BUT it moves along, and take out is a... More

I take my Chinese food very seriously and don't waste my time in Chinese restaurants that do not serve authentic Chinese food. Sichuan Gourmet is at the top of my list. I recently vacationed in China and couldn't wait to taste the food in Sichuan province. It was fabulous, as expected, but it wasn't any better than the food at... More

If your looking for ambiance and 5 star service this is not the place for you, but if you want authentic Chinese food your in the right place! When you order and you see the little red peppers signifying how hot the food is it would be wise not to go much past the one pepper unless you really like... More

Recommended by one of my colleguaes we went to this place last Sunday. The place were this restaurant is located is not what you call an inspiring place. But if you put that aside and you accept the overcrowded restaurant once entered you will be thrilled by the quality of the food. All typical Sichuan recipes are on the menu... More

Placed my order and 12 minutes later was driving away with my King Bao chicken in tow. The entree was average, Tasted... More
