What does creative casual cuisine mean? Exactly what it says. We"re creative, because we reject the same-old-same-old in favor of tastes that are interesting and unique. We're casual because while our food may be worth getting dressed up for, we invite you to come as you are. We're all about cuisine in the sense that our chefs apply high standards of culinary art. There it is. Creative. Casual. Cuisine. If it sounds like your kind of place, then you – like us- are not your average Joe.

Nice Lunch

I was here at Joe's with my 13 year old daughter and her friend for lunch. One could just have the bread and oil dip and forget having the lunch it's that good. You have to really try hard to have just 'one' or there is no room for lunch :-) Joe's makes a really good black bean and rice... read more

We are regulars here. The food is always fresh and the combinations are unusual and rich. Service is excellent. Suppertime is often very busy, so reservations are recommended.

It's really a fun place. The menu has something for everyone. The crab cakes are awesome, a must try! They serve a delicious foccaccia bread with a house dip for the table which is excellent. Just a great place!

I like this place. Pretty busy on a Friday and Saturday night but you can always get take out. They have awesome bread and their tomato basil soup is to die for. I would really recommend that. The salads are great along with their drinks and pizza. I would say entrees are a bit on the expensive side for that... More

I have been to several Not Your Average Joe's over the years and this was my least favorite. It has no atmosphere and the booths were so close together that my friend and I were both pinned into it. She sat one side and I the other and neither of us could move. Okay, we are overweight but not huge!... More

I have many friends that love the place, and I have eaten there a few times before, and it was very good, but this time was, Average Joe's. Food was fine, service avarage, but only have burgers, so partly my fault. Just seemed their attention to detail was not there that day. One suggestion to the managers, is to tell... More

We were in Beverly for a play and decided to eat here. We were seated immediately at noon in a booth as requested. The food was consistent with that at our regular Joe's In Arlington, MA. We did find the service slower though equally friendly as at Arlington. Menu was familiar and I had my regular haddock. It was just... More

The wait staff is very nice and efficient. The food is innovative and always fresh. I particularly like the bread served with a dish of olive oil pepper and garlic!

good restaurant with a nice bar, an in-house pizza business to eat there or just pick up. the pre dinner bread and dip has always been my favorite but not as good as the bread they serve at the other location in Newburyport. Menu is good American food mostly with a some Italian dishes at a reasonable price

After making a reservation, we quickly were seated in a very busy resturant! The staff was very friendly and helped us with the menu as we were new customers. The bread at the beginning is delicious! Our food arrived quickly and was of large proportions. We will be back the next time we are in the area!
