Hubby and I went with another couple last Saturday night and absolutely loved the atmosphere, tables and staff. We ended up in the front window which made it extra cozy. I had the Chianti Sangria (red) which was wonderful to start with and the other couple each had a ginger drink that was a special. They were delish. Everyone wanted... More

The food was mixed - very small portions, some good, some average. Good service and a great place to listen to music (we didn't sit in that area however!)

I find it difficult to rate Chianti's. If I was to rate it strictly as an Italian restaurant - I would say it was good - but not great. The quality of the food is OK - certainly not up there with the best of the North End, for instance. But certainly passable. I like the calamari app., which is... More

Chianti is a nice though casual Italian restaurant. The good is very good: the menu is nicely varied, and always offers meat, seafood and vegetarian options. Service is good. For dessert, I recommend the dark chocolate tartuffo. While there is no dedicated parking, municipal lots and street parking are available.

This has been our favorite restaurant for over a decade. We've been with Rich (the owner) through the expansion, the creation of the Jazz club and more. And Rich has been the spirit of Chianti; he's made sure the experience was memorable. After all of these years, we've had 5 horrible experiences over the past few months and now have... More

Pushy, pretentious waitstaff. Good food. Nice atmosphere, right downtown. Beverly has better options.

We had 6pm reservations, and were seated quickly. I thought we would have lots of time before we were going to the north shore Theatre for an 8pm show. The dinner took quite awhile to arrive, and was good, but nothing to rave about. We barely got to the theatre in time. If you are attending a show be sure to... More

Hi, my husband and I visited Chianti's this past Labor Day Weekend, and as usual the pasta, wine, service in the jazz lounge, and the music/dessert was awesome!!!!! A special shout-out to our server Sarah who mans that whole jazz lounge alone and does it w/ a smile, and absolutely effortlessly!!! She is great!! Thanks Sarah! My only complaint once... More

Over $100 for a couple...BUT, it was phenomenal food and a very quaint and cozy atmosphere. I would go again even at the cost.

I hadn't been to Chianti in quite a while. My visiting family was looking for an outdoor spot where we could beat the heat. Arriving at Chianti at nearly 8pm, we were immediately seated in their charming garden. Our friendly waiter brought over tasty bread with the most delicious white bean spread. I ordered the Zucchillini-- pasta made from strips... More
