Everything on the menu looked interesting and we ordered antipasti, primi, and secondi. The waiter was very helpful with advice about a wine and we were delighted with everything. The desserts were also a difficult choice. I was particularly impressed with the list of after dinner drinks: besides a nice set of sweet wines, single malts and such, there was... More

We had been meaning to try Il Casale for a while and when a friend told me she really liked it that sealed the deal. We sat outside, which was nice, but they could use a little more lighting - it was hard to see our food and by the time dessert came hard to read the menus. We each... More

I've been hearing raves about this place for years and we finally made it on a recent Saturday evening. The semi-industrial feel of the old firehouse is an interesting contrast to the authentic Italian fare. There seemed to be many regulars in the crowd and we felt perhaps our waiter would have preferred if we were ones as well. He... More

Got there early last Friday night and sat at a lovely table on the patio. Perfect. Started with the cheese plate and drinks and later had a pasta dish. Everything was very good. I would love to see a Caesar salad permanently on the menu.

The hostesses are beautiful. The servers are professional. And the food is excellent—for us (on this third visit) that included tuna crude, bibb salad, gnocchi and mushrooms. My only tiny complaint is the atmosphere; I'd like it a little quieter. But overall, this is a consistent winner.

The food is excellent. The meatballs are to die for. Great service. Outside seating is the best. Took my 2 sons. Memorable meal.

Have been going to Il Casale since they opened. Even though its not too far, we always end up going for our Anniversary. And have never ever had a disappointing meal. My parents and inlaws were born in Italy and we know authentic Italian food. There are some things on the menu that you don't see in other restaurants. The... More

In Belmont its 'the spot to be' so, expect a big crowd after 6pm on a Friday night. If you live around Belmont Center, expect to see someone you know. The personality of Il Casale is inconstent - the young ladies at the door are novice, but very polite and helpful - though if you ask a complex question you... More

Service was great however the food trumped the service! I had Mixed Seafood Grill w grilled veggies and cous cous. My partner had Grilled Halibut. They both were to die for ;-) Great grilled flavor. We had an pasta dish as an app with tomatoes/beef based sauce - it was fantastic. There is also an area where you can sit... More

We have eaten here several times. The food is always tasty. However during my last visit the hostess was rude and rather condescending and waiter rarely available. Upon being seated (2 people ) between two large parties, I asked to be seated at one of the two empty tables for two available. I was informed those were "reserved" for some... More
