IL Casale has great food and a great setting in a old firehouse . Appetizers are small but very good in fairly inexpensive
Having lived in Milan, Italy, for 9 years, I am thrilled to have such a wonderful Italian restaurant in Belmont Center, where I live. The food is excellent and the menu very imaginative (that is not a requirement for me, but I like it). The ambiance in the old firehouse is both cozy and exciting, but the noise level is... More
The quality of the food was quite good. We both had the Veal Scallopini which was very nicely prepared. However, at $25, we expected more than three average sized pieces. Same comment for the fried calamari appetizer; nicely prepared, small portion. My vodka up was a very nice pour at $11 but my wife's house red was a short pour;... More
My husband and I called Il Casale from our new home at 7:00 one Friday night to see if they could squeeze us in, and they happily offered us a small table by the door --beggars can't be choosers! We had an amazing dinner with wonderful service and even better food. The mussel appetizer was made without prosciutto as I... More
Outstanding Italian food, with great appetizers and pasta made on site. The outdoor patio is wonderful on warm evenings.
The setting is really nice, very well decorated. The service is excellent with an attentive waiter. Food was also outstanding, especially the aracini (sp?). Caeser salad was good and special pasta was huge and very good. Wine list is reasonably priced. They have outdoor seating. All in all a place that I intend to frequent.
We were two couples dining at Il Casale Sunday evening 4/26 because we had enjoyed it so much previously. We were not disappointed in any way. In fact, it was better than ever! Not surprisingly, the restaurant was packed with lively folks having a wonderful time. Ambiance was warm, tasteful, comfortable, but not pretentious. Our server, Olga, was terrific beyond... More
We made a reservation for 8 people for 8pm Saturday night. We arrived and were seated right away as we had not seen each other in quite some time we wanted to take our time to catch up. When it came time to order drinks we ordered 2 bottles of wine and one mixed drink a malibu rum diet coke... More
My co-workers treated me to dinner to celebrate my retirement. We went on a Wednesday evening and I was very surprised by how crowded it was. For a larger crowd they offer two group options, the "Fiat" and the "Ferrari". We selected the "Fiat" the less expensive option. The food was delicious and ample. We were provided a variety of... Tough to get a reservation because it is so popular. Staff is very attentive, many from Italy. Had a rib eye the other night - succulent! I usually go for the bolognese with pasta - my favorite.
