Looking for a place after a Tanglewood afternoon and a friend recommended Dream Away. Did not have reservations, but they were able to find a table for us. Looking at the decorations, Alice's Restaurant could come to mind. As we were nibbling at Tanglewood, we passed on appetizers and just ordered the main meal. The Chicken Piccata was more of... More

We made reservations way ahead, very much looking forward to a restaurant that had been highly recommended by friends. We called in the afternoon, asking if we might come at 6:30 instead of 7: no. Okay, but we got totally lost on the back roads trying to get there and couldn't get a phone signal, so we weren't able to... More

I just had a delicious meal in a restaurant that greatly resembles the original Alice's Restaurant. It is on the October Mt. Road, in Becket, MA. There are gardens to explore and so many interesting decorations in the restaurant itself. The menu is eclectic and the food is fresh and well prepared. I had calamari marinated in citrus juices that... More

If you're in the area, and in good company, this is an OK, and maybe even memorable place (in a funky way) to eat, drink, and enjoy some music (if you are there after 8:30 or 9 pm on a weekend). But the food is mediocre and the drinks were pretty awful the night we were there. The wait staff... More

This place is little hard to find but well worth it. The food is amazing. Staff are very knowledgeable about how the food is prepared and friendly. Music on the weekend . The decor of the restaurant is very electic.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 5. It was quaint and quite crowded. Drink service was exceptionally slow. The ribeye was about 1/8 inch thick and covered with some kind of BBQ sauce but it was properly cooked medium rare. My advice to the dream away - hire a second bartender and buy some decent... More

First, the good: the place itself, straight out of Twin Peaks (inside & out) - the food is very good, especially the burger. Cool place to listen to music. Then, there is the bad: service can be spotty, and at the bar on a busy night you can expect to wait awhile. They could use an extra hand or two... More

Seems this place which is oh so cool could be even better with a few tweaks I was lucky enough to be there for J Mascis's solo performance in the living room/music room. The upside was seeing a legendary musician play in a space the size of my parents' living room. Literally close enough to scare him. The down side... More
