This Dreamaway Lodge is the Historic Home of Mama Fresca and her family, a famous vaudevillian act who got away to the Berkshire for some privacy and an escape with her famous friends where privacy was not an issue. These people were an integral part of the community and their generosity and acceptance of the Locals was legendary. They were... More

Good food, great atmosphere and people watching. Service was friendly and attentive. Live Blue Grass music in a warm and inviting room.

I have been going to the Dream Away for Dinner for over 20 years. Sadly, last night was our last time. Our food was delicious. The waitress and the owner were the problem, all because we asked for separate checks. In an angry and disrespectful tone, she said we should have asked at the beginning. She said it's in the... Looking for a place after a Tanglewood afternoon and a friend recommended Dream Away. Did not have reservations, but they were able to find a table for us. Looking at the decorations, Alice's Restaurant could come to mind. As we were nibbling at Tanglewood, we passed on appetizers and just ordered the main meal. The Chicken Piccata was more of... More

We made reservations way ahead, very much looking forward to a restaurant that had been highly recommended by friends. We called in the afternoon, asking if we might come at 6:30 instead of 7: no. Okay, but we got totally lost on the back roads trying to get there and couldn't get a phone signal, so we weren't able to... More

I just had a delicious meal in a restaurant that greatly resembles the original Alice's Restaurant. It is on the October Mt. Road, in Becket, MA. There are gardens to explore and so many interesting decorations in the restaurant itself. The menu is eclectic and the food is fresh and well prepared. I had calamari marinated in citrus juices that... More

If you're in the area, and in good company, this is an OK, and maybe even memorable place (in a funky way) to eat, drink, and enjoy some music (if you are there after 8:30 or 9 pm on a weekend). But the food is mediocre and the drinks were pretty awful the night we were there. The wait staff... More

This place is little hard to find but well worth it. The food is amazing. Staff are very knowledgeable about how the food is prepared and friendly. Music on the weekend . The decor of the restaurant is very electic.
