We enjoyed everything about Dolphin -- the service, the food, the atmosphere. After a disappointing and frustrating experience the night before at Old Yarmouth Inn, we were especially happy to find a restaurant that did everything right.

Unlike many Cape restaurants that charge an obscene amount of money for tiny portions, you get a full plate - the three of us each took home left overs. The quality and menu options were fantastic - between us we had Salmon Cakes, Crab Cakes, Carrot Ginger Soup (phenomenal), Prime Rib, and Dolphin Fish Fry, it was all fantastic. The... More

We have patronized the Dolphin for many years and have always enjoyed it. It is a traditional style restaurant with a wide selection of entrees - heavily oriented toward seafood but there is plenty to choose from for everyone's taste - supplemented by a variety of daily specials. Complimentary creamy cheese spread with crackers and a nice basket of rolls... More

The best fresh seafood in the Mid-Cape area. Always delicious, great service and nice atmosphere. You will always enjoy the Dolphin and the chef's offerings. Tucked in historic Barnstable Village, it is a well-kept secret of Cape residents

Visited for first time with UK guests. Swordfish was very nice but portion a bit small. Mashed potato side dish was cold but tasty. A bit noisy atmosphere and slightly spotty service. Will try again.

The Dolphin is a first class restaurant in a very old setting in quaint Barnstable Village. This was a perfect combination of pleasant surroundings, first-class service and expertly prepared food that makes for a very enjoyable night out. They offer a nice combination of seafood and meats that will satisfy most people. On this occasion, I opted for the Duck... More

All along beautiful route 6A on Cape Cod you will find many great places to eat. The Dolphin in Barnstable is one of those terrific restaurants. Our meals sat night were excellent. All of us had various fish dishes and were very satisfied. There was only one veg. on the menu but you could substitute for cole slaw. The crackers... More

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while road tripping on the Cape. The food was excellent. We had salad to start, fish n chips and a fish sandwich. The fish tasted really fresh and the service was great. We even stayed for dessert, which was also great.

On a wet, rainy February Friday my wife and I decided to try the Dolphin Restuarant in Barnstable. We had friend meet us there and preceded to have a great meal. Oysters on the half shell were sweet and delicious and, of course, fresh! My Surf and Turf was one of the best Ive ever had. Large succulent maine lobster... More
