Was really nice to visit off season, summers Dolphin is mobbed! Great food and service. Clam chowder is one of the best I've had. Good fresh fish. One of my favorites on the cape.

I saw the rating were good here.. How right it was.. The service of a 5 star with the feel and comfy of a casual to casual upscale .. The food was just perfect !!! The food was so great in fact, I could not have asked for Better. I has sword fish topped with a crusted orange topping then... More

A quiet restaurant with excellent food. We were celebrating my wife birthday and couldn't get into a very good restaurant down cape so we opted for the Dolphin. While seafood is the prime entree I tried the Steak Au Poivre. It was excellent! My wife had scallops which pleased Her as well. Will go back.

We arrived in Cape Cod and decided to explore the area before we went to our Inn at Chatham. We stopped for lunch at the Dolphin Restaurant in Barnstable. What a great find! An adorable little restaurant on Rt. 6 A right in Barnstable. We were seated right away. The waitress was very pleasant and professional. The food was excellent.... More

Nice atmosphere and quite cosy. Our waitress was rushed off her feet and consequently not everything went well. My dinner was luke warm and our main course arrived before we had finished our first. Maybe we were just unlucky………..

Had dinner here recently with friends. Enjoyed it very much. Each dish was tasty and full of flavor including the mussels as a starter. Have eaten here 3 times over the past 7 years. Each was consistent and enjoyable.

This one was just dumb luck. My wife and I were headed back to Boston from Provincetown on a Friday in late September and decided we were starving for lunch. Got off Route 6, headed for the ocean and looked and looked and looked. Finally passed the Dolphin and almost kept going, because there was practically nobody there. Starvation won... More

Our Inn Keeper recommended this restaurant as the loca'l's choice in Barnstable. After eating there I can see why. This is a real comfortable and quiet restaurant with great basic food. There is nothing fancy or pretensious about the place. It has an intimate setting with flowers and a candle on each table. There is a full service bar running... More

My husband and I were traveling around the Cape Cod area and decided to stop into this little restaurant for lunch. The service was very good. We didn't want a really big lunch so decided to order appetizers instead. My oysters were fantastic and so were my husband's scallops wrapped in bacon. We share a 3rd appetizer of stuffed mushrooms... More

Found the Dolphin Restaurant on Trip Advisor, before we went to Cape Cod, and had dinner there on our last night. Hostess and server were very pleasant and efficient. Decor was comfortable and cozy. My husband's dinner, Chicken Marsala was excellent. My Shrimp Piccata was okay, but not wonderful. Shrimp were a bit chewy. The accompanying rice was a bit... More
