Be sure to eat in the tavern, atmosphere is cozy and service is better. Cioppino (Seafood stew) is wonderful.

This quaint tavern is on 6A running through main street in Barnstable. They have a really nice outdoor patio facing the street (where we sat). The inside is very warm and inviting and would be a really great place to hang out when the weather is not conducive for the patio. We ate lunch and had appetizers, sandwiches and pasta.... More

The food was really good and the service was great. We enjoyed sitting outside in the little courtyard and sipping our pints of beer. The crab cakes are really yummy!!!

Two police officers suggested this place to my mom and i, so we checked it out. we were greeted & seated, and found the lunch specials to be a fair deal-half a sandwich and a cup of soup or salad for 8 or 9$. the chowder was good, but i have had chowder all around and this chowder was a... More

I was down the cape in Barnstable this weekend and came here with a friend who had eaten here several times throughout the years. We came in after 2pm so it was definitely a late lunch, but the service was unbelievably slow. We got our drinks rather quickly but had to wait about 25 minutes to order. It seemed the... More

My husband and I enjoyed a sunny dinner on the patio. We had clam chowder (which was better than top of the hubs in downtown boston!). The fried clams were the best we've had. They were melt in your mouth good. Our waitress was very nice and understanding while we looked over the menu for a good 20 mins. This... More

The food was not exceptional, however the service most certainly was. Friendly, pleasant and accommodating to a large group during lunch.

We go to the Tavern quite often, and - trust me - it's a good restaurant. Interestin menu, great selection of beers and attentive service. One of the best in the Cape Cod area.

Great pub menu as well as traditional restaurant fare. Was there for a recent beer-pairing (Cape Cod Beer, thank you Todd!) and had delicious pulled pork, white chili with chicken and jalapeños and lobster nachos. Very creative menu and great service. Fun evening and you can order dinner for non-beer drinkers for less cost. Try the chicken chili with the... More

This is the most fabulous restaurant I've ever visited. The food is outstanding and the service as well. I want to express my disappointment with the comment that was made by Ella Dill. I just happened to know people like her very well. The 3 course dinner special is great deal and I' m sure many people get advantage of... More
