We have been coming here for my birthday in May, but this year we also came in September for my Mom's birthday. It was even better at this time of year!!! For a change, we enjoyed watermelon and fresh corn on the cob -- both were super sweet and delicious -- coming from farms in the area. This time I... More

Friendly Farms is a nice restaurant to bring your family. You order your individual entrees and then the dudes are all served family style. They included cottage cheese, apple butter, watermelon, green beans, corn, rolls, and sugar biscuits. All good solid comfort food. Restaurant itself has a banquet style atmosphere.

We all made the most of the meal and at least we were all really hungry. Sadly, most of the meal seemed that is was warmed up right out a can. It has cafeteria feel and taste alike.

The best crab cakes I have ever eaten. I am from Maryland, but live in New Jersey now. We started going to Friendly Farm (not Farms) in 1961. Always good, family style eating. They used to have a place in Westminster - awful. Mercifully they shuttered that place. I remember going to the pond and feeding the ducks after our... More

For a unique evening out and a beautiful country drive, give Friendly Farms a try. It's not fancy but the people are very nice, the food reminds you of Sunday at Grandma's (or what we imagine it to have been), and the servings are very generous. The duck pond and rolling mowed lawns provide a perfect setting for a stroll... More

A beautiful spring drive out to Friendly Farms in Upperco, Maryland was a memorable Mother's Day. Unlike any restaurant I have ever been to, you are welcomed by a hostess who takes your name , number in your party and you then select and pay for your meals. A short time passes and you are then called as your table... More

My Mom and Dad live in Hampstead, MD not far from Friendly Farm. Their four grown children, myself included, live in California, Florida, Maine and Virginia. Everyone of us plan at least one meal out to Friendly Farm each time we visit as we all love it. It is situated on a large family farm with ponds and Canadian Geese... More
