Whoever trains the staff does a wonderful job! The service staff in this restaurant is as close to perfect as humanly possible. I love the fact that our menus had been personalized with our name. It is a touch of elegance. I chose the three wine pairings with my meal and my husband had a Guinness. Tim, our server/sommelier, was... More

Five us dined as part of our business conference, and everyone raved about the food, drinks, service, and charm. Frankly, you would have to drive a long distance to find a better restaurant. There are no bad choices on the menu. The wine list is excellent. Service was attentive and pleasant.

My wife and I love this place - best restaurant we have found in the area. Amazing food, a very reasonable price, historical charm and a HUGE wine selection. Always a favorite for entertaining friends and family.

An 1844 Inn decorated for the holidays that met exceeded our expectations! We arrived around 7:30 and we were warmly greeted by the staff. Dinner at this Inn is more of an "event" than dinner and the "event" started with cocktails and served beautifully presented hors d'oeuvres of miniature crab cakes, tuna tartar, skewed chicken with peanut sauce, and cheese... My husband and I chose dinner with wine pairings for our anniversary dinner. We were greeted warmly by Jim in the lobby and offered wine or beverage. We were served by wait staff delicious appetizers of crab, tuna, barbecue, and spinach. All were delicious. The rooms were beautiful in decor and elegant. When our table was ready we were led... Atmosphere: warm, cozy, intimate Service: the best Food: after 2 dinners & 2 breakfasts, I can recommend the following: cheese plate, gnocchi, any soup or salad offered, fillet, & salmon. The dessert tray offers about 5 varieties of specialties for any sweet tooth. My husband tried every coffee on the menu and all of them were his favorites. If staying... More

I expected service to be outstanding. Not so much. Some tables were treated with awesome customer service. we were not and I'm not too sure why, especially since we were staying overnight.

This is a unique dining experience. You start with cocktails and passed hors d'oevres in the lounge while a live pianist plays for you. Then you go to your table, which is yours for the night. The menus have the name of your party printed on them and are yours to keep so you can remember all the delicious things... More

The staff is well trained and the atmosphere is very nice. The food is good, but not amazing. Worth trying once. Extensive wine list. Make a reservation--the place is small. Don't worry about the other reviews that mention doggie bags--you won't need it. Despite being 6 courses dinner won't fill you up since each course consists of a mouthful or... More
