Mark's Kitchen is a small, perpetually busy, restaurant in the heart of Takoma Park. The foot is excellent, including well prepare vegetarian entrees, such as tofu cakes, with rice, green beans, and potatoes. The service is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant, which seats about 50, is rather informal. It is also filed with teas, jams, baked goods, chocolates, etc.,... More

Stopped there by accident, and how lucky I was! This is a great restaurant with all the usual diner food in addition to korean dishes. Plus plenty of choices for vegetarians/vegans. And on top of that very friendly staff. Will definitely go back if in the neighborhood.

This is not the cheapest but it is the best. They use quality ingredients and you can tell. The place looks as clean and bare as an operating room. I would often stop in for lunch after church. The staff are friendly. I like the variety. I am not You can't sure how often they change the menu but I... More

Marks Kitchen: it felt like a nice cozy living room. Friendly staff, specialist drinks and ales, nice, small sized chocolate treats, but best of all a wonderful vegetarian selection. It's hard traveling and maintaining a vegetarian diet. Mark's made the culinary side of my stay in Washington D.C./Takoma Park a pleasure. I ate there 4 out of 5 days. Breakfast... More

Always a pleasant experience here. The food is fresh and good at reasonable prices. If you know Takoma Park you know an eclectic restaurant fits well with the milieu. This time I had Spinach Tofu Cakes which were delicious along with a fresh carrot/apple/celery juice. My companions had a veggie burger and a crab cake sandwich all of which were... More

Mark's is a Takoma Park staple and it is worth a visit. The food is always yummy and everything is locally grown. The place is small so be prepared to wait during summer nights or Sunday mornings but it is worth it. You cannot go wrong with anything you order and the specials are always a good bet. Service is... Mark's Kitchen is a rare gem in the heart of Old Town Takoma Park. They feature tasty Korean-style dishes like bulgogi and japchae, but also things like "Mark's Mom's Flounder." They make a great hamburger and grilled cheese sandwiches but also have a nice array of bento boxes. Delicious korean steak and great vegan selections. Also, you can't go there... More

This great local place serves delicious vegetarian food side by side with cheeseburgers and milkshakes. My favorites are the bento box meals, sometimes tofu, sometimes chicken. Mark is usually there, seems to be a genuinely nice man, pretty creative cook too.

Where else are you going to get a good meal for 12 dollars or less! Combination fried rice is one of my favorites. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. I love this place and lucky me, it is right in my neighborhood. Mark is almost always present and very welcoming.
