Tasty, healthy, veggie-full, and affordable

From the wild salmon to the Korean pancakes to the acorn-squash stuffed with barley, everything at Mark's is creative, tasty, and skillfully prepared. Korean-American fusion, vegan-friendly but equally strong for those who are not. This is not a white tablecloth establishment, but it serves... read more

Korean-American fusion, vegan-friendly but equally strong for those who are not. This is not a white tablecloth establishment, but it serves artfully arrayed food on a par with the best in the Maryland suburbs (and we've tried... More

Mark's Kitchen is a long time tradition in TP. AlwYs good for breakfast and lunch. Staff is friendly and they have a good vegetarian selection.

My family loves this place. We eat here often and have for years. The owner is almost always there, greets the guests frequently and is very involved in the community. The food is great, and there is quite a variety to choose from. Can't say enough good things about Mark's Kitchen.

We've been coming to Mark's, mainly for breakfast, since it opened over 20 years ago. We've never been disappointed by the quality and quantity of food, great if busy service and classic small town atmosphere with a Korean twist. Mark, a very friendly presence hovering over all, has had little changes in the menu of the years: no reason to... More

I almost rated this place a two, but gave it a three simply because they tried. I was so disappointed that I don’t know where to begin. I ordered the market salad and couldn’t believe what was placed in front of me – a huge bowl with one small leaf each -- lettuce, kale, cabbage, one match strip each –... More

It was cold and rainy and I was NOT in the mood to cook. This place is in my neighborhood and the name "kitchen" sounds homey and comforting. The food was great! My husband had the lamb kabob over rice - I had the chicken over couscous. I also ordered the vegetarian lasagna - BINGO! This was the highlight of... More

Although known for its Korean food, at a recent lunch my husband and I both opted for the black bean veggie burger. I had it plain; he chose all the trimmings. We were both delighted. May have been the best veggie burger ever. Will definitely go again, but may have to eat the same thing again. Unpretentious neighborhood favorite. Loved... More

I used to eat a lot of Korean food until I went meatless. Mark's was a short ride from College Park, MD, and Takoma had a college town feel to it as well on a smaller basis. Funky crowd and more funky surroundings made for interesting distractions. Food was terrific and staff accomodating as we arrived before they were serving... More
