This is a pretty decent place with a nice environment and typically good service. However, it still has a way to go in order to achieve the status it strives for and the way it represents itself. We actually had a better experience last year and hope that its inconsistency does not mean it is going downhill. During our recent... More

I had a lunch meeting at Baldwin's Station, which I had never heard of, being from the Virginia side of the "tracks". I had no expectations and assumed it was just another place for a boring lunch. Well, what a GREAT surprise! I walked in and instantly said to myself "This looks like a really cool place!" and then we... More

This restaurant serves a reasonably priced lunch. We had the chicken salad which was very good. Service was ok . Dinner is rather pricey. Located in the old part of town (somewhat picturesque), you can take a short stroll after or before your meal. Located at the railraod tracks, sometimes trains go right by.

Lovingly restored old RR station alongside the south branch of the Patapsco River and CSX Railroad tracks - what more could u ask for? The service is attentive and the food was good, though all we had were a club sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. Best part: we arrived 5 minutes after lunch closed at 3pm on a lazy... More

Food is very good, service is good. Nice atmosphere. Doesn't have a bar, well it does but when we were there it didn't seem as though you could sit at the bar.

This is a place I wanted to like. If there were a "slightly above average" rating, i would give it. Located next to train tracks and near a river, Baldwin's Station usually attracts many locals. The artificial flowers on the table are a clue that here is a restaurant living on its reputation. We were there for lunch, and when... More

This place has potential but I would not return based on today's experience. We arrived and were seated, drink orders taken. Bloody Mary's were tasty but nothing on the rim or garnish except a tiny lemon. My husband's second Bloody Mary came with spice in the rim so did my father's- mine did not. Had to ask for it. A... A nice relaxing lunch or dinner (I prefer the lunch menu) looking over a running brook and a lot of history. If you are lucky, a train will shake the station..so exciting! Take a step back in time. Just lovely.

My husband and I hadn't been to Baldwin Station in several years when we went last week. The food was good, however, there are far better restaurants to choose from in Baltimore or Columbia. I was disappointed since they restaurant is ranked so high. We were also the youngest couple by about three decades and we're in our late 30s.

Went on a Friday night with friends, sat outside in beautiful weather. Round of simple drinks, appetizers or salads all around and single main course. One bottle of $50 wine and single dessert, was over $350 with tip, for four people. Wine was two years older than what was in list, steak overcooked, mushroom soup had no discernible mushrooms or...
