Always a pleasure to visit.

Started with the special venison pate to share, and it was moist and tasty. enjoyed the Seafood andor, which provided ample supply of seafood over a light risotto. The risotto could have been a bit more tender, but nonetheless the dish was fantastic. Waiter Thom was accommodating and supportive. A... read more

Hadn't been to the Milton Inn in many years. Went for dinner the other night and were looking forward to it. We were seated in a room in the back where the whole back wall is a gigantic old open fireplace. I bet it is cozy in the winter with a nice fire going. Unfortunately, this time of year the... More

We had intended to dine at the Milton Inn for quite a while and we finally did this past Sunday. We had high expectations and the food and service far exceeded those expectations! We split the Mesquite Seared Sea Scallops appetizer and it was perfect---scallops perfectly seared, tasty and tender! Those grits were marvelous! My husband got the Filet of... More

The Milton Inn is one of Maryland’s historic treasures. Constructed in 1780 it was previously a Quaker coach stop, an academy for boys, a private residence and now a five star restaurant . I was honored to be a guest at a private function there recently. The chef ,Brian Boston, did an amazing job of coordinating a selection of his... More

Celebrated my birthday with family; & the wait staff were very attentive; & the food was exceptional.....the Artisan Cheese Plate with three imported cheeses,Ireland, France, Italy, was decorated with a mound of wonderful fruit & berries to compliment the flavors of the cheeses. The Seafood Andor was a wonderful creamy delicately flavored dill sauce with large lumps of crab meat,... More

My "go to", if I'm looking for a classy, lovely evening. The building has much character, service impeccable and the meal is top notch.

My husband and I were happy that they finally wised up and now offer small plates on the barside, where we prefer to be. I suppose they want to attract a younger demo. Don't care for the dining room...too stuffy, dull and $$.

Last Valentines Day, we ate at this restaurant and i was very disappointed in my dinner, which was filet mignon. Very tough and the waitress did nothing to make it better. They should have given me a new dinner or removed it from the bill. Needless to say it left a bad taste in my mouth about this pricey restaurant.... More

My wife and I save the Milton Inn for special occasions. In part that is a function of price, but also it is a special place. The ambiance of 200 year old plus home, beautifully but comfortable interior and welcoming staff all contribute to that feeling but it is the food that stands out. I had the braised short ribs... Gave the restaurant a try because we received some coupon. This is not an inexpensive place, and the tab for two can easily run into a couple hundred dollars. Some entres are 40-50 and above, for instance. So a lot depends on what you order. But for that price range, the food did not match expectations. The best dish we... More
