My husband and I went to the Milton Inn for the first time on a date. It is an older building and a bit too darkly lit, but had plenty of historic charm. We had a reservation and arrived on time. The staff was very nice, and we were seated promptly. I did notice that the wait staff/water servers were... More

This 1770's stone inn has incredible personality and ambiance. There's a fireplace in every room, wooden floors which are a bit uneven due to the age of the building, which all adds to the ambiance. We go there for our anniversary, knowing the food is spectacular which is worth the price. They also offer a fixed price dinner which is... More

This Butler stone large house, formerly John Milton's Academy, built in 1740, is a fabulous restaurant and beautiful building for every visitor and diner to enjoy. The horse motif, due to location in steeplechase country, is most charming. Waitstaff is well-schooled and welcoming. If dinner is too expensive for you, go for lunch, which is available every day of the... More

It had been a long time since I had been to Milton Inn and I expected the perfection I found in the past. Service, ambiance and my son's meal all measured up. The disappointment came from my meal. The duck was beautifully presented, but it was sliced so thin there was no taste. I know they would have exchanged it,... More

We recently celebrated our 26th anniversary here. We had passed by the inn while exploring the area and wanted to give it a try. Our favorite restaurant is of a similar type. The reservation process was easy. Service was excellent and we were frequently checked on for beverage refills and our enjoyment of the meal. My partner's meal was very... More

The food and service is top notch. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night with reservations. We started off with a couple of drinks and ordered Venison Pate and a Winter Salad. A perfect start to a wonderful evening. Main meal was Rock Fish and a Filet Chesapeake. Both meals were cooked to perfection. We ended the evening with... More

The food is wonderful,it is a very old, and special experience. My wife and I dine there, once or twice a year, when we want the finest food, and atmosphere, that Maryland has to offer. I believe it is on the level of some of the most wonderful dinning experiences that we have ever chosen for special occasions. It is... More

They have cracked the code. we had a wonderful meal, oyster appetizer, veal and filet, with probably the best dessert we ever had -- macadamia nut chocolate cake. Waiter Mark was perfect in his timing and care. Wine prices are reasonable, and the ambience here is fantastic. we compared it to other restaurants in the area, and feel it's one... More
