We were staying here on our boat and had heard a lot about this place. The view was beautiful, the server was very sweet and kind but the wait was very long and we had to keep asking for things..like water. In fairness it could have been the kitchen so I will not judge the server. The food was average...there... More

During an overnight stop in the Solomons, we had dinner at Dry Dock based on location and recommendations. We made a last-minute reservation, got in and ending up getting a great table outside with an unbelievable view on a perfect late-September evening! The harbor view from the restaurant is about as good as it gets! The service was excellent; the... More

We ate breakfast here on a nice sunny Sunday morning. We ate outside over looking the water. The food and atmosphere were terrific. It took us 1 hour to get our food. It was a busy morning. But, one hour is too much and we wouldn't go back if was another busy morning.

This used to be THE place for Sunday brunch in Southern MD. No more. Had not eaten here in a bout two years and was greatly disappointed in everything but the view, which is still lovely. I usually have gotten eggs Benedict and I knew as soon as it came that there had been a big change. The muffin was... More

It was my first time visit to this restaurant. We sat outside. The view was great. I had a steak and it was good. The restaurant was kind of small and no music. Music would have been very nice.

Maybe it's because we visited as the season was winding down, but from the service to the food, the Dry Dock wasn't as good as I remembered. Our server was nice, but was a total rookie. It was ok that he had to read the specials, but he couldn't answer simple questions e.g. "it says there is crab in this,... More

What a lovely spot--overlooking a marina filled with sailboats. The appetizer of fried oysters was exceptional: sweet oysters, perfectly breaded. The cioppino was delicious, filled with shrimp, tilapia, scallops, and mussels; the tomato broth was well-seasoned with lots of chunky vegetables. We shared a piece of coconut cake for dessert, and it was very good. Our server was helpful, attentive,... More

My wife and I went upon recommendation and were not disappointed. We say outside looking upon the boats. The temperature was perfect. The atmosphere was great. The staff was exceptional. And overall a wonderful experience. We each ordered a seafood dish and they were absolutely terrific. But the crab dip appetizer was the best. Definitely worth the trip.

If you're looking for a place where you can watch the sunset and the boats returning while having an excellent dinner, then Zahniser's is for you! We ordered the fried oysters for an appetizer, and they were a treat - plump, juicy and lightly breaded. For an entree, my husband had the seafood gnocci with garlic cream sauce, which was... More

Dinner at the Dry Dock is the perfect place for a romantic evening or an intimate group event. The locale offers a wonderful view of the boats on the bay, and spurs conversation about sailing or exploring the beautiful Chesapeake. Our experience has always been near-perfect, even when sitting on the deck as a storm moved in...and even then it... More
