Whenever we visit Md, we go to Stoney's. This is some the best Chesapeake Bay seafood on the east coast. Trust me I've been all over the East Coast. Amazing crab cakes, fried seafood, and don't forget to try the Stoney's Steamer.

OK, all the Stoney's are great. All have fabulous, big, big crab cakes and other seafood choices worth every penny of their dear value. But the crab cakes on Stoney's Solomon's Pier are THE BEST. I don't know why, considering the restaurants are all so close together that they must have a common crab cake prep kitchen, all I know... More

You can't beat the view at this restaurant...it's absolutely beautiful. The food is hit and miss. I had the Oysters Rockerfeller (4) appetizer, and it was done to perfection. Also had the Drunken Oysters and those were just ok. My husband got the seafood sampler, and it, too, was just ok. The staff was cheerful and helpful; it just wasn't... More

I'll take some of the blame for ordering the wrong thing. We shared the large seafood platter, and yes it was all fried. Taking that into account, the shrimp was the best, followed by the fish. We didn't like the oysters and the hushpuppies were just average, as was the slaw. The soft shelled crabs were good, but on the... More

The entire family went for lunch last week. The views are great. It is pretty clean, but the floors could use a bit of work. My wife loved the oyster and crab stew. The portion wasn't huge, but she ordered a side salad and that all made for a great meal We shared some steamed shrimp and they were plump... More

We stumbled onto the Monday and Tuesday night dinner specials by accident. On Monday a pound of boiled shrimp goes for 10 bucks and on Tuesday a pound and a half of crab legs goes for 12 bucks. Add an order of a dozen oysters served with a draft beer for 12 bucks and you get a decent fresh seafood... More

I know a lot of the reviews stated that they didn't have any problems with the service. We must have hit them on a bad night. We got there around 8:00 on a Thursday evening. I didn't think they were very busy but on our way out, I did see a large party. We ordered two appetizers first-hush puppies and... More

If you go here, ask for a table on the top level for the best view. The atmosphere is nice and our service was very good. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

This restaurant is very nicely decorated with a beach theme & sits on a pier over the Patuxent River. The hostess and waitress were nice, the food arrived quickly and was very good. I had the Southern Maryland Grilled Cheese - ham, melted cheddar, & a crab cake on grill sourdough. Very good. The only negative, and it was minor,... More
