It was my wife's birthday and the family and I took her to this lovely restaurant. Internal arrangement of furniture is very nice. Service is good too. Rest of the family except for my mother in law (she had giant shrimps) had devilled eggs and steaks and I must say those steaks were pretty generous of them. I'm saying they... More

For more than a year, I walked past Ray's The Classics and never went in - it looked a bit stuffy, with its old-style sign and white tablecloths, and seemed the type of place you go for an occasion, not for everyday. Not long ago, my companion and I were celebrating and wanted a steak, and decided to try to... More

Had dinner with business associates at their recommendation. This is an oddly decorated restaurant. Felt I was back in the 80's. Food was good not great. Had the NY Strip and is was cooked well. The broccoli was tree sized and not well cooked. Decent wine selection. Again, a good place just not great. The Chocolate pieces at the end... More

The quality of the steaks is quite good --at a considerably lower price than standard steakhouses. The experience is perhaps not the same: we often had to wait for our glasses of wine to be refilled, and the waiter had to be reminded about some requests. But our medium-rare steaks (the house special, a NY strip with a cracked peppercorn... More

I was last here a number of years ago when this place was new and fresh. My latest dinner was with a party of 4 that spent about $200 on 3 hunks of steak, one salad, one desert, one shrimp entree and three sides - but no alcohol. All in all a pretty good sum for an undistinguished experience. The... More

Now called "The Classics", it is still one of the best steak houses that I have eaten at. All of us had salads and one person in our party had the steak tartar stuffed deviled eggs which he said were excellent. Our party of six had either the crab, rib eye steak, or the New York strip special. We also... More

I have eaten here over a dozen times. The food is great, service is good....but the bartender can make drinks like nobody else! I now only go to the bar area where they have terrific burgers and hanger steaks (which i don't get in the main dinning room). Anyway, I digress... the bartender (NICK) makes great drinks, is always on... More

Although no longer owned by Ray, this fine dining steak house has stayed true to his principals of good food, excellent service, and fair prices for wine and drinks. Our steaks were perfectly prepared in a range of style choices. Consider eating in the bar area with a separate menu offering some lesser priced options (it was jammed on this visit).... More

Great restaurant, personally though I prefer the food in the bar area. There the hanger steak and the burgers are terrific. You can't get those menu items in the main dining room. You don't need reservations in the bar area, either. Reservations are necessary for the main area.
