We set out to celebrate a friend's birthday in a happy mood, arriving at the restaurant a bit before it opened at 5:00 last Saturday. After hanging around the front door for a while reading the lengthy, aggressive message posted on the front door warning solicitors and salespeople not to dare bother them, we were allowed to come in by... This is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is great and the service is wonderfully friendly. We especially love the salads, which don't involve any lettuce but lots of cabbage and finely chopped peanuts on top. The ginger salad is amazing, and the fermented tealeaf is good and a little funky. The noodle dishes are good, but so... More

This restaurant serves Burmese dishes. The KyetThar ThaYetThee Hin (CH12 on the menu) which is chicken chunks (dark meat) simmered with pickled mango curry is my favorite dish. For dessert I usually get the sticky Rice with brown sugar & coconut. Great restaurant!

If you're in the mood for something light, this lovely neighborhood restaurant has the best salads! I know it sounds strange, but the ginger salad, which has shaved slices of ginger in it, is surprisingly mild and crunchy. If you pair it with a tofu dish with curry, you have a wonderful lunch or dinner for two. We were here... More

We have been fans since they were located in College Park. We were worries that the good would change when they moved to Silver Spring. Instead, it's gotten better!!! Love the mango and papaya salads, we get them every time. N06 is a staple with my boys but I prefer to try something different every time. The specials on Sunday... More

This was our first time for Burmese food. We were there in the early afternoon on a Sunday; the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. We had eggplant appetizers, which were very good. The drinks menu was entertaining, with clever names and descriptions for cocktails. My husband got an extra spicy beef entree, which was not nearly as spicy as he... More

This restaurant was on my list of places to try for a long time. Tea leaf salad is my fav Burmese dish. This one was not as good as the others I had in Myanmar, but it was tasty. It was missing some crispiness and bitterness. The beef basil and the mix noodles were also good. For desert I had... More

This is a non-pretentious casual atmosphere for affordable yet good Asian food -- mostly Burmese (Myanamar / Burma origin) yet a few other dishes, too. I've been here 2-3 times in total, yet not very recently.

I have come here for many, many years. Recently I was angered to discover that on top of what I paid for a small take out order I had been charged $1 extra for " take out" charge. The owner explained that this is a new charge and that it covers the cost of their cheap container for take out.... More

Oh, how I miss when I lived in Silver Spring and ate delicious Burmese food every week. Now I have to make do with once or twice yearly visits. I see some reviews saying that the quality has declined. That was not the experience I had last week when I visited twice. If you're new to Burmese food, ask for... More
