Swept Away Once Inside

Located in the transport area of downtown, you wouldn't think it housed a nice restaurant. Once inside you will forget about the exterior and you will enjoy the atmosphere and food.

While the restaurant has decor that I would like in my house, the food is average. My friends love the place, so that's why we go. The service is excellent and I have been there at least six times, but have never been overwhelmed by the food.

I have gone to this restaurant three times so far and I would go many more. It has a modern atmosphere but very cozy appeal as well. And the food is excellent. Some classic dishes and some very new dishes with great flavors. Highly recommend!

Had the surf and turf special for dinner. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the lobster was also delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance is very nice. Most dinner entrees are in the $25-35 range. It's great place for a date or to just have a great meal.

I've gone with friends but I also recommend this restaurant to folks who have business colleagues who are looking for an excellent meal while they are in Silver Spring. Love their scallops. Everything I've ever gotten here is delicious.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Our server was fixated on making us purchase another glass of wine, they couldn't, wouldn't serve a cup vs a bowl of soup, lunch didn't have any specials and what they offered was over priced. No, won't be back.

So glad I was finally able to make it to 8407 Kitchen Bar. A work lunch brought 9 of us there to explore a wide-variety of menu items. I stuck to the burger and fries. Well, I was more than pleased with the burger cooked to medium-rare perfection and the fries with such a unique twist- seasoned with rosemary and... More

Have been a fan for a couple of years. I guess every restaurant has a bad night once in awhile. First entree on the menu usually means this is featured. Branzino with Fall veggies. $30.00. Sounded wonderful. Entirely too salty. Microscopic vegetables . What Fall veggies. Few corn kernels; microscopic zucchini. Few sprouts. Too expensive for such a disappointment. Desserts... More

This is one of the most outstanding restaurants anywhere in the Washington-Maryland vicinity. It's a bit hard to locate, and necessary to navigate parking, but once found it's a treasure. The food is all excellent, the atmosphere is appealing, and the wait staff is professional. It's pricey but worth it for a special evening. It is a perfect spot for... More

We had a wonderful experience here again! Our waiter, Rich, made everything so much fun and enjoyable for our New Year's celebration dinner.
