I have now been to McGinty's Pub and the food has always been decent for a bar restaurant. I will say the hot wings are actually hot (equivalent to hooters 911 sauce) and the regular buffalo wings don't have enough spice. Hopefully they make something in between in the future. The happy hour here is ok with a few beer... More

I didn't need to look at the menu. Irish Pub = Fish and Chips. That's my equation. Being a Friday night, the street was blocked off allowing pedestrians full reign. Live music could be heard from half a block away. Interesting people and dogs paraded by. This place has a huge room on the upper floor, but we waited for... More

We just randomly picked this restaurant and I am glad we went. The food was excellent. We had the Rainbow trout and the Grilled Pork and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The waiter we had was helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back when we are in the area.

While I think it would be great to provide a review of the food here, I can't say that I was able to experience the food menu. However, after a long day of work this was one of the few places near my hotel that I could grab a quick beer. Great atmosphere, nice patio outside, decent draft beer selection,... More

Good selection of beer and wine. My husband had a black and blue served up perfectly. Interesting selection of Irish food. I had the potato, cabbage and leek casserole-yummy. I will go back if ever in this area again.

When I lived in Silver Spring, my fiancee and I went here most Fridays for dinner. They have a smaller bar and dining area downstairs, and a larger version of each upstairs. There are lots of televisions on the walls of many sizes, adn they have all varieties of sports on depending on what people want to watch. To be... More

They serve a hearty Irish dinner for a reasonable price and boast a solid selection of beers on draft. I went with my brother visiting from out of town and we had a couple beers with dinner while watching rugby. They also do a reasonably-priced brunch, the quality of which is excellent.

I had the Salmon and it was very good. However, our service was slow and not attentive at all. I did not get a drink refill for the entire dinner and we sat for quite awhile to get our checks.

McGinty's is a multi-use Irish pub. There is seating downstairs for drinks and meals, a room upstairs for bigger organizaed events and a much larger room in back. Overall, the drinks are good, the food is good and the experience is a nice one when in Silver Spring. The staff is nice and helpful and the place is always clean.... More

I like Irish fare and atmosphere, McGinty's delivers both. Th lower floor makes you feel as if you were a traditional Irish pub. The upper level has a more intimate dining room and a larger entertainment venue perfect for large groups. I recommend the corned beef and cabbage with a tall Guinness. Mmmmm.....
