Nice as always.

Its always hard to review a venue such as the Rams Head as its fine dinning nor is it simply casual dinning, it falls somewhere in between. Nestled in the Savage Mill and providing above average meals and pints since I can remember. The Tuna Tartar was very good finished with a sinus clearing... read more

I ate lunch here yesterday with my husband. The atmosphere is excellent being located in a renovated 1850's textile factory. I highly recommend a walk across the old railroad bridge by the river after eating if daylight/time allows. The food, however, just wasn't good. We both ordered the Dynamite Burger. My husband got his with beef while I opted for... More

Oh my, this was a terrible lunch experience, and the worst service imaginable. Where to begin? The bathrooms were filthy. Truly filthy. So much so that we couldn't even use it, and the people who stepped into it prior to us turned around and left too. Service: They weren't even busy, but were backed up with seating and the host... I was asked to meet here by a business friend, and had no idea where I was going, just knew it was near Columbia, MD. Found it with no problem, quaint little town of Savage, attached to an old mill, now converted to shops, etc. The restaurant had a great decor, scenic, excellent service, and wonderful food. I had the... More

Dined here on a Monday evening with two other business associates. Great prices on draft beer for happy hour, $3 a pint. I ordered the salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes with two jumbo shrimp layered with crab and covered with a jalapeño béarnaise sauce. Excellent choice. The only negative comment was the lack of attention from our waitress.... More

Our group of 4 visited Savage Mills Mall and had lunch at Ram's Head Tavern. It's located inside the mall on several levels. They have a typical tavern-type menu with a good selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and pub fare. They have a huge selection of American and foreign beers including several of their own beers on tap. Our group had... More

We ate there for the first time on Black Friday. Wow! the food was Delicious! Service was exceptional. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and just a joy to be around. The food was worth every penny. Not one person at our table had a complaint. We have 5 people with 5 different tastes.

This place is fantastic. Its off the beat and path in Historic Savage Mill. The food was fantastic. Get the beer sampler, but I suggest you bring a DD - good chance you will leave with a belly full of beer and good eats. Opt for eating inside unless you want to battle the giant yellow jackets!

Dined here tonight. I almost went elsewhere as pub food is usually very basic and reheated or kept warm for you to arrive for a quick fuel stop. The Rams Head was different, first off its in a restored old textile mill. It's big and looks to do a great dining trade. Not surprised with the selection and quality. It... More

We had a wonderful dinner for our large group of 20 - the Howard County Men's Group monthly dinner! Our 2 servers were amazing --- especially dealing with our ever expanding group as people that didn't quite RSVP as they should have showed up. The food was excellent and came out fast and hot! When our 1st server had to... More
